The chapter opens with a shift in perspective as we meet a girl reminiscent of Takako Uro. She has light-colored hair and eyes devoid of expression. It is unclear whether she is fleeing from someone or chasing after them. Frustrated, she directs her anger towards Kenjaku, holding him responsible for the events of the Culling Game.
Kenjaku had given them a glimmer of hope by transforming them into Cursed Objects, enabling them to thrive in the midst of the Culling Game. Yet now, he heartlessly extinguishes the very lives he had helped revive. Soon after, however, she finds herself trapped within the clutches of a Curse resembling a jellyfish.
Kenjaku, perched on a nearby tree, reveals that sorcerers, regardless of their timeline, serve as essential components, much like spices or water, in his intricate concoction. As he strives for the perfect blend, he continuously adds either one until the flavors harmonize and his goals are realized. In a ruthless act, Kenjaku completely seals her head, bringing about her demise, while cunningly disclosing that he has meticulously embedded a tracking device within each Cursed Object. This enables him to effortlessly locate reincarnated sorcerers, as he so desires.
Iori Hazenoki confronts Kenjaku when the latter jokingly asks him to be friends, but Hazenoki outright refuses. Kenjaku puts their conversation on hold to witness Gojo and Sukuna's battle, revealing that the events of Jujutsu Kaisen chapter 239 have been occurring in the past.
Kenjaku realizes that Sukuna has extended his Crsed Technique to target Gojo. To monitor the entry and exit of sorcerers in Shinjuku, Kenjaku has placed Cursed Spirits there, keeping track of the overall amount of Cursed Energy. However, individuals like Yuta, who possess a notable amount of Cursed Energy, are monitored separately.
Kenjaku acknowledges the formidable combination of a physically talented Maki Zen'in and a skilled user of Spatial Teleportation Cursed Technique like Ui Ui. He recognizes that the opposing side possesses more than just sorcerers as their pawns, prompting him to strategize accordingly. Subsequently, Kenjaku launches an attack on Hazenoki, who attempts to flee by hurling an explosive tooth towards him, but his plan ultimately fails.

Kenjaku declares his intention to eliminate all players in order to bring the Culling Game to an end and fulfill his Binding Vow. His ultimate goal is to unite the regular people and Tengen on a nationwide scale. Hazenoki, in his dying moments, directs expletives towards Kenjaku. At this moment, Fumihiko Takaba unexpectedly appears and engages in combat with Kenjaku.
Kenjaku questions how Takaba managed to arrive, as Mei Mei is not observing this location. Nevertheless, Kenjaku disregards any interest in the other awakened players and proceeds to launch an attack on Takaba. Despite the assault, Takaba manages to survive the onslaught and displays genuine surprise at being targeted.
Kenjaku discerns a discrepancy in Takaba's behavior. It's not merely that his assault is futile; rather, Takaba deliberately renders Kenjaku's attack impotent. Jujutsu Kaisen chapter 239 closes with Takaba asserting to Kenjaku that nothing surpasses the Joker's ability to dominate the spotlight.
