Jujutsu Kaisen chapter 237, originally scheduled for release on October 2, 2023 at 12 am JST, has already had its spoilers and raw scans leaked. Unfortunately, for fans hoping for Gojo's return, it seems that Gojo Satoru does not make an appearance in this chapter. Instead, the spoilers reveal an interesting development: Sukuna transforms back into his original Heian period form while battling against Kashimo. Surprisingly, there was no indication in chapter 237 of Jujutsu Kaisen regarding Gojo's return. In fact, based on the leaked raw scans, it seems that Gojo's body is potentially buried beneath the debris.

In light of this, it appears highly unlikely for the sorcerer to rejoin the fray after reaching Jujutsu Kaisen chapter 237. Even if either Yuuta or Shoko were to arrive on the battlefield to retrieve Gojo's lifeless body and employ reversed cursed energy on him, it would prove futile. At this stage, it is beyond doubt that Gojo has been slain by Sukuna, effectively bringing an end to their protracted conflict.
Undoubtedly, the entire Jujutsu Kaisen fandom has been shaken by the death of the most powerful sorcerer of modern times. While some found satisfaction in the outcome of the Sukuna vs. Gojo battle for narrative reasons, others struggled to believe that Sukuna could defeat Gojo and his seemingly limitless technique.

The King of the Curses apparently took inspiration from Mahoraga to break through Gojo's infinite power. In the previous chapter, it was revealed that Mahoraga begins its adaptation process by analyzing the cursed technique of its opponent when it is first attacked.
This process of adaptation reaches its full completion after a certain period of time. However, if Mahoraga were to face additional attacks during this process, the completion time would be hastened. Sukuna explains that when Mahoraga first adapted to Gojo's infinite power, it transformed its own cursed energy in order to neutralize or negate the impact of Gojo's technique.

Unable to replicate this feat, the King of the Curses patiently awaited a second opportunity to arise, enabling him to effortlessly slice through the entire space, akin to Yami's dimension slash in Black Clover.
In other words, Sukuna didn't just aim for Gojo's infinity, but rather, the very fabric of space itself. As Gojo's infinity resided within that space, Sukuna's precise slash successfully cleaved him in half vertically. Even as the formidable sorcerer, Satoru Gojo may not have foreseen Sukuna's cunning strategy.

Gojo's anticipated return in Jujutsu Kaisen chapter 237 has been shattered by leaked spoilers, leaving fans disappointed. Despite this, various fan theories continue to propose dramatic comebacks for the character. Only time will tell what Gege Akutami, the author, has planned for Gojo in the upcoming future.
