Fans did not have high expectations for Hajime Kashimo, but they were still hoping for him to have a showdown with Sukuna, even if it was just for a few chapters. Sadly, their hopes were dashed as Kashimo was swiftly defeated in only two chapters. It is interesting to note that both Gojo and Kashimo shared a similar fate, as they both suffered off-screen defeats.

Despite the mixed reactions from fans, some took the opportunity to ridicule the Jujutsu Sorcerer. Hajime Kashimo, known for his claims of intervening in Sukuna and Gojo's fight since April 2023, had his encounter with the King of Curses disappointingly abbreviated to just two chapters. To make matters worse, he was swiftly defeated with a single slash, mirroring the fate of Gojo Satoru. However, judging by the brevity of their skirmish, it becomes rather clear that Kashimo's strength was nowhere near that of Gojo's.

Additionally, Kashimo faced relentless mockery from fans for his behavior in the fight. Upon closely analyzing Ryomen Sukuna's physical manifestation, Kashimo came to firmly believe in the inherent beauty of the King of Curses' true form. What truly captivated Kashimo was Sukuna's possession of four hands and two mouths, qualities that evidently bestowed upon the King of Curses an immense prowess in both enchanting and combat.

Fans were convinced that Mangaka Gege Akutami had made a decision to have Gojo and Kashimo defeated, seemingly in response to the complaints of fans. The progression of the manga's plot had led fans to believe that Yuji Itadori was no longer the main protagonist of the series. However, with the deaths of Gojo and Kashino, only Yuji would be left. As a result, he would automatically become the series protagonist.

The concluding part of the Jujutsu Kaisen chapter 238 spoilers showed Yuji Itadori joining the conflict, implying that fans might witness his battle against Sukuna in the upcoming events.

However, despite this development, Kashimo faced criticism from fans who compared him to Satoru Gojo. They pointed out that Gojo was able to bring Sukuna perilously close to defeat, though the mangaka had to intervene for Sukuna to secure the victory. On the other hand, Kashimo was seen attempting to overcome a weakened Sukuna, but his defeat was swift.

That being said, chapter 238 of Jujutsu Kaisen has sparked a glimmer of hope among fans regarding Satoru Gojo's potential comeback. Despite the initial appearance of Gojo's demise, he was depicted engaging in conversation with his long-time companions. On the other hand, the passing of Kashimo was portrayed through a flashback, leaving fans with the impression that Kashimo had indeed met his end, while Gojo seemed to exist in a realm between worlds and was poised for a return.
