The Culling Game Arc is the 9th arc in Gege Akutami’s Jujutsu Kaisen.

After the Shibuya Incident, the Culling Game was initiated by the ancient sorcerer Kenjaku in order to bring about a new era of jujutsu sorcery. It is even more brutal than the Shibuya Incident, being likened to a Darwinian death ritual or battle royale where sorcerers and non-sorcerers, known as players, are pitted against each other in a deadly game where points are earned by killing one another.

of receiving notice. If a player refuses to participate or fails to do so within their given timeframe, they will be instantly killed by the curse.

Breaking the first rule will result in the removal of cursed technique and death for any player.

Non-players entering a colony will become players. However, civilians trapped inside a barrier at the beginning of the game will be allowed to exit safely.

Players score points by killing other players

The game master awards points based on the value of the player’s life. Sorcerers are worth five points and non-sorcerers are worth one point

Participants can use 100 points in exchange for adding a new rule to the Culling Game

The game master must accept any new rule, with the exception that it doesn’t have a lasting effect on the game

If a participant’s score remains the same for 19 days, their cursed technique will be removed and they will die.

So, now you know the rules, let the games begin.

Editor's P/S

As a Gen Z netizen, I am thrilled about the announcement of the Culling Game Arc for the Jujutsu Kaisen anime. The Shibuya Incident arc left me craving more, and I can't wait to see what's in store for Yuji Itadori and the other characters. The teaser trailer hints at intense battles and thrilling twists, and I'm excited to see how the story unfolds. I'm also curious to learn more about the new characters and their abilities. Overall, I'm very optimistic about the Culling Game Arc and can't wait to see it animated.

However, I do have some concerns about the potential for violence and gore in the upcoming arc. The Shibuya Incident arc was already quite graphic, and I worry that the Culling Game Arc could be even more so. I hope that Studio MAPPA will handle the violence in a sensitive and responsible way, and that they will avoid gratuitous gore. I also hope that the anime will continue to explore the deeper themes of the series, such as the nature of good and evil, and the importance of friendship and teamwork.
