In a recent interview with InStyle, John Stamos shared how the passing of Bob Saget has impacted the tight bond among the Full House cast. Stamos, who is 60 years old, expressed his sadness over losing Saget, emphasizing that Saget was the glue that held them all together.
Stamos reminisced about the frequent gatherings he had with his fellow cast members after Full House and its revival series Fuller House concluded. "We make an effort to communicate and stay connected. However, our togetherness is not as consistent as it used to be," he indicated. "We truly felt like a family, and that connection was evident both on and off the set."
The immensely popular sitcom, which aired from 1987 to 1995, followed the story of Danny Tanner (Saget) as he navigated the challenges of raising his three daughters, D.J. (Candace Cameron Bure), Stephanie (Jodie Sweetin), and Michelle (Mary-Kate Olsen and Ashley Olsen), following the loss of his wife. In an act of support, Danny's brother-in-law Jesse Katsopolis (Stamos) and best friend Joey Gladstone (Dave Coulier) move in to assist him.
Fuller House, a revival of the beloved show Full House, premiered on Netflix in 2016. The series featured original cast members, including Lori Loughlin, Andrea Barber, and Steve Weinger, who made appearances throughout its five-season run.
In January 2022, Bob Saget passed away at the age of 65 in his hotel room in Orlando, Florida. Authorities confirmed that no foul play was involved after their investigation at the hotel. A month later, the Medical Examiner in Orange County, Florida, confirmed that Saget's death was the result of an accidental fall, which caused blunt head trauma.
The Full House cast expressed their heartfelt condolences following Saget's demise, stating, "Thirty-five years ago, we united as a television family, but we evolved into an actual family. He was like a brother to the male members, a father figure to the female members, and a cherished friend to each and every one of us. Bob, we hold you close to our hearts."

While speaking to InStyle, Stamos praised Saget for being an exceptional friend.
Bob always expressed his love, care, and pride for everyone he spoke to. Even in dire situations, if I had one phone call, it would still be to Bob," Stamos shared on Monday. "Even though he may not be physically present, he would call me repeatedly to check if I was alright. He would say, 'Are you still alive? Are you hanging? I'll be there.'"
Stamos intends to honor Saget's memory by discussing him in his upcoming memoir, ensuring that his legacy endures.
"I not only had the intention of writing a book, but I was unwaveringly determined to do so. However, after Bob's passing, I felt an overwhelming urge to discuss it," expressed the Big Shot alumnus concerning his upcoming book, If You Would Have Told Me, set to be released on Tuesday, October 24. "My goal is to unveil the unknown aspects of his life to everyone and emphasize his significant impact."
