Jill Duggar and her husband, Derick Dillard, recently held a heartfelt funeral service for their stillborn daughter. The couple shared photos from the memorial on Instagram, captioning it with a touching message for their baby girl, Isla Marie. They expressed their eternal love for her and mentioned that she was laid to rest on April 19, 2024.
The photo showed a small white box decorated with flowers and a stuffed animal rabbit. Next to the box was a bouquet of pink flowers, with the vase wrapped in a matching pink bow.
Duggar, 32, also posted a picture of the memorial’s pamphlet, featuring a photo of herself and Dillard, 35, holding their daughter’s knit blanket and bunny toy along with a Bible verse. The event had a table adorned with Isla’s toys, books, and clothing. Attendees also received a pot and seeds with a message saying, “Plant this heart.”
The funeral service took place almost two weeks after the Counting On stars revealed the heartbreaking news of their baby girl's stillbirth on Instagram. In a joint post on April 13, they shared, "With heavy hearts, we announce the stillbirth of our beautiful baby girl, Isla Marie Dillard." At 4 months pregnant (due in August), they discovered that their baby had passed away in utero.
The post continued, "Since the moment we learned about the pregnancy, we eagerly anticipated meeting our baby. Isla was cherished from the beginning, and her 3 older brothers were thrilled to welcome her into their lives. Your prayers are appreciated as we mourn and cope with the loss of our precious Isla Marie 🩷."

Duggar and Dillard tied the knot in June 2014, and their wedding was shown on TLC's 19 Kids and Counting. Since then, they have had three sons together - Israel, 9, Samuel, 6, and Freddy, 21 months.
Before Freddy was born in July 2022, Jill experienced a pregnancy loss. She shared on Instagram in October 2021, "We were excited to learn that we were expecting our third baby. Unfortunately, we later experienced a miscarriage. We will always remember and love you, River Bliss."
She shared her thoughts on the loss in a heartfelt Instagram post a year later. Sitting there, nursing her baby Freddy, she felt a mix of emotions - sadness for the moments missed with River, yet grateful for the joy of motherhood with her newborn.
Expressing empathy, she mentioned feeling for those longing to be mothers or who have faced loss while still hoping for their own miracle. She ended her post by sending love to her lost one, saying, "I miss you and I'll love you forever."
