Jessica Simpson's daughter Maxwell is poised to inherit her legendary shoe collection, but there's a catch - the 11-year-old's feet are too big to fit in them.
"She's a size 10 ... so she outgrew me a long time ago," Simpson, 41, shared with Extra on the red carpet at the Footwear News Achievement Awards on Wednesday, November 29. The event honored the singer's career and contributions to fashion. "I have all of these shoes saved for her, but she'll probably use them as a purse, knowing her. She'll turn them into some amazing piece of artwork."
Despite not being able to wear her mom’s stilettos and sandals, Simpson hopes her younger daughter, Birdie, will be able to wear them. Simpson acknowledged that Birdie might have a more petite foot, and if not, she will make sure she can rock the shoes by the time she’s 6, unlike her older daughter Maxwell. In addition to Maxwell and Birdie, Simpson and her husband Eric Johnson also have a son, Ace, who is 10 years old.
During the ceremony, Simpson appeared on the red carpet in a beaded naked dress and her signature shoe choice: platform heels. At the event, the actress was praised for her love of shoes, which inspired her to create her own footwear label bearing her name.

Jessica's achievement is a significant milestone for her as she and her mother regained full control of the shoe brand in 2021 from Sequential Brands Group, who had purchased the company in a $117 million deal in 2015. (Jessica originally launched the label in 2005 under the Camuto Group.)
"It means everything to me to have complete ownership of my brand," Jessica stated to FN in 2021. "After 16 years in business, I am prepared to embrace this next exciting phase wholeheartedly. I am confident that the sky's the limit when my mom, our amazing team, and I fully connect with our customers."
