Jinx follows a group of criminals led by bounty hunter Jinx Alameda as they search for missing mob money, going up against other criminal groups that want it for themselves. Murder Inc. focuses on Valentine Gallo, a man on the run from gangsters and the CIA in an alternate version of the United States. Finally, Pearl features its titular Pearl Tanaka, a Japanese American with albinism who becomes an assassin for the yakuza. All three shows promise crime and action alongside memorable characters ****Jinxworld readers will be familiar with.
Bendis will serve as executive producer on all three shows, with co-creators Michael Oeming (Murder Inc.) and Michael Gaydos (Pearl) serving as EPs on their respective shows. Showrunners have also already signed on to each project, with Ayelet Waldman and Michael Chabon (Star Trek: Picard) for Jinx, Tze Chun (I’m a Virgo) for Murder Inc., and Chris Collins (The Man in the High Castle) for Pearl. With experienced TV personnel at the helm, it seems Bendis' comic series will get adaptations worthy of the platform.
Bendis' deal with Amazon opens the possibility for more of his comics to be adapted in the future, besides the three series that have already been confirmed. This could potentially include his collaborations with Dark Horse Comics making their way to television screens. Currently, the main focus remains on adapting Jinx, Murder Inc., and Pearl, introducing them to a new audience through Prime Video.
As of now, release dates for Jinx, Murder Inc., and Pearl have not been announced.
