Jessica Biel Proves the Bob Haircut Trend Is Alive and Well After Chopping Off Her Long Locks

Jessica Biel just entered her short hair era.

The 42-year-old actress revealed that she chopped her long hair into a chic bob haircut in an Instagram video posted on Sunday, May 19.

Biel was seen in a post wearing an oversized white Rolling Stones graphic t-shirt. She gazed directly at the camera, playing with her long hair while a trending TikTok sound of a gun reloading was heard in the background. Afterward, she tilted her head to the side and gave her hair a final tug before revealing her new chin-length hairstyle, along with a chic gray blazer, white top, and gold necklace.

The post was captioned by Biel with: "Brought back the f—k ass Bob ‍️."

Since Hailey Bieber got a bob haircut in January 2023, many other celebrities like Megan Fox, Elle Fanning, Kelly Rowland, Cara Delevingne, Gigi Hadid, Mindy Kaling, and Zoe Saldana have also tried out the trendy hairstyle.

Even though Biel has usually had long hair during her time in acting, this is not the first time she has rocked a bob haircut.

During her time on Seventh Heaven, which aired from 1996 to 2007, Jessica Biel sported a short hairstyle. Recently, in June 2023, Biel took to Instagram to share a video clip from the show. In the clip, she, along with her co-stars Beverly Mitchell and Catherine Hicks, all donning the same short haircut, engage in a heart-to-heart conversation in her character's bedroom.

In the caption of the post, Biel humorously remarked, "Being 16 is tough. Being 16 with the same haircut as your mom and sister? Now that's a whole new level of tough."

Biel, who has two kids with her husband Justin Timberlake, saw a resurgence in her acting career in recent years. This came after she took on more serious roles in The Sinner and Candy, where she also worked as a producer.

In a podcast episode of “The Bright Side” on May 15, Biel opened up about considering quitting acting before her role in The Sinner. She mentioned how doors weren't opening for her despite being in the industry for a long time. Biel shared that being an actor and producer is not easy, as it requires a lot of hard work and dedication. Many projects they work on may never see the light of day, she added.
