Jennifer Garner thinks Harry Jowsey “slayed” his recreation of her 13 Going on 30 character.
The 51-year-old actress partnered with 29-year-old Dancing with the Stars alum for a nostalgic stroll while promoting her new Netflix film, Family Switch. During his interview with Garner, Jowsey surprised the star by wearing the iconic multicolored dress she wore as Jenna Rink in the 2004 romantic comedy.
“Wow, you even have the butterfly,” Garner exclaimed after Jowsey’s surprise, referring to the butterfly-shaped necklace. “Are you wearing Spanx?”
Jowsey admitted he didn't know what Spanx are to which Garner responded, "You don't even have to." The clip, posted to Jowsey's Instagram on December 6, shows the two discussing the actress's fashion sense and its evolution over the years. When asked if she would rather dress as a teenager in 2023 or in the 1980s, Garner expressed a preference for the '80s, saying, "I want neon."
"I didn't really embrace it when I was a teenager in the 80s," she said. "I want to go back and make the most of it now by wearing big sleeves."
Jowsey concluded the interview by asking Garner who wore her 13 Going on 30 dress better. "You, definitely," the actress replied. "You totally rocked it. Nobody has ever worn this better than you."

Garner’s new movie Family Switch — a holiday-themed body-swap comedy — is reminiscent of the premise of 13 Going on 30.
The actress recently disclosed the fate of the original Versace dress she wore in the movie 13 Going on 30. During the November 29 episode of The View, Garner mentioned that the dress ended up in a warehouse along with other wardrobe items from the film after shooting was completed.
"I didn't keep the dress because you're not supposed to," she explained. "I'm a rule follower and who knew that the movie would have such lasting impact?"
Upon its debut, 13 Going on 30 swiftly became a beloved rom-com of the early 2000s. The film, also featuring Mark Ruffalo and Judy Greer, showcases Garner as Jenna Rink, a 13-year-old who magically inhabits her 30-year-old self after making a birthday wish. In an iconic scene, Jenna wears a vibrant dress and youthful accessories to a work event, where she leads the crowd in a dance to Michael Jackson’s “Thriller.”

Celebrities and fans alike continue to be drawn to the vibrant, eye-catching dress, with Ariana Grande even bringing it back to life during a November 2021 episode of The Voice. Designer Donatella Versace couldn't help but share a photo of the singer in the recreated dress, adding the caption, "My gorgeous girl."
Garner was also thrilled with the recreation. She gushed about Grande’s look, telling People at the time, “What a dear sweet person, she is. A beauty. She looks so beautiful in the dress.”
