Jennifer Garner Mourns Her Dad in Sweet Tribute

Jennifer Garner shared the news of her father, William John Garner's passing on Instagram. She mentioned that he passed away peacefully on a Saturday afternoon. Jennifer, who is 51 years old, expressed that they were by his side, singing 'Amazing Grace' as he passed away. She reflected on the inevitability of grief even though her father lived a healthy and fulfilling 85 years.
Jennifer also posted a series of photos showcasing her father throughout the years, including family pictures and solo shots from his childhood.

She mentioned how their support allowed her dad to enjoy his favorite activities, such as being with family, watching his favorite team, and spending time with his wife of 59 years.
She acknowledged that there is a lot to say about her dad and that she, along with her sisters Susannah Garner and Melissa Garner, will never stop talking about how amazing he was. So, she asked for patience as they continue to share memories of him.

She concluded, “But for today I share these memories with my appreciation for the kind and brilliant man, father, and grandfather he was, as well as the loving legacy he left behind.”
Jennifer also shared a clip from her Capital One ad in 2016, where she told a story about her dad’s reaction after she began working with the company.
She recalled how her dad called Capital One to ask for the "Jennifer Garner card," which she found to be a typical dad move. When the Capital One representative asked if he was related to Jennifer, he proudly responded, "As a matter of fact, she is my middle daughter."
Her dad then joined the scene and put his arm around his daughter. "Can I say it?" he inquired. Jennifer nodded, giving him the go-ahead to say the company's tagline. "What's in your wallet?"
Jennifer chuckled and leaned into her dad, responding, "Nice job, Dad."
