Jason Sudeikis and Hannah Waddingham Pay Tribute to Bradley Cooper and Lady Gaga with Powerful 'Shallow' Duet in Ted Lasso
Jason Sudeikis and Hannah Waddingham of 'Ted Lasso' beautifully performed a heartfelt rendition of 'Shallow' at a charity event, rivaling the iconic duo of Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper
At the Uptown Theater in Kansas City, Missouri on Saturday, November 11, Jason Sudeikis, 48, and Hannah Waddingham, 49, amazed the crowd. Despite 99 out of 100 Ted Lasso fans not believing that Sudeikis could sing, Waddingham joined him on stage and proved them wrong. The duo performed a remarkable rendition of "Shallow," the popular duet by Bradley Cooper and Lady Gaga from the movie A Star Is Born. Prior to this, Sudeikis, as the host of Thundergong!, a charity event supporting the Steps of Faith Foundation, had already entertained the audience with his former Saturday Night Live co-star Will Forte. Sudeikis inarguably expressed his preference to sing the song with Waddingham, stating, "There is nobody I would rather sing this song with."

Sudeikis and Forte performed the Oscar-winning song, with Jason filling in for Cooper's singing part. Forte, aged 53, tried to do his best Gaga impression, but Waddingham's voice resounded throughout the theater. She then took over, joining Sudeikis in a duet that could rival Jack and Ally's performance from Cooper and Gaga's characters.
This remarkable performance was not only for the dedicated fans who miss Ted Lasso now that the series appears to be done. Thundergong! is a charity event that raises funds to provide prosthetic limbs for uninsured and underinsured amputees. In 2022, Thundergong! managed to raise over $600,000 for Steps of Faith, contributing to a total of more than $2.1 million over six years.

Hannah Waddingham will showcase her singing talents once again on November 22 with the release of Hannah Waddingham: Home For Christmas on Apple TV+. This holiday extravaganza will include Waddingham performing beloved Christmas songs, as well as special guest appearances from Luke Evans, Leslie Odom Jr., Sam Ryder, and more.
The third season of Ted Lasso concluded in May, leaving viewers with the impression that the acclaimed series had come to an end. However, there may still be hope for its return. Nick Mohammed, who portrayed Nathan Shelley on Ted Lasso, shared in an exclusive interview with We in July 2022 that he is uncertain about the show's future. Mohammed, aged 43, expressed that there could potentially be more of the show to come.
The actor revealed that the creators of the show had planned out three-season storylines for the main characters, which is a common practice to ensure the longevity of a series. However, the future of the show remains uncertain, as it could either take a hiatus and return or come to a definitive end.
