Princess Kate's sibling, James Middleton, along with his wife, Alizee Thevenet, have joyfully welcomed their first child. The couple, aged 36 and 32 respectively, were captured in photographs published by the Daily Mail on Thursday, October 26, as they strolled around London's Notting Hill neighborhood, pushing their newborn in a stroller.

The couple shared on social media in July their delightful news of expecting their first child. James, the brother of Kate, 41, and Pippa Middleton, expressed their excitement through an Instagram post. Alongside two photos of Thevenet proudly displaying her baby bump, James wrote, "We couldn't be more thrilled... well, Mabel might be." He also shared that the year had begun on a difficult note with the loss of their beloved therapy dog, Ella, but they will now end the year with the joyous arrival of their precious new family member.

James and his therapy dog Ella fatefully encountered his future wife when Ella ran towards her during a visit to the South Kensington Club in Chelsea, London in 2018. Apologetically, James stepped in to retrieve Ella, unaware that this encounter would lead to finding his life partner. Reflecting on this unexpected meeting, James acknowledged the pivotal role Ella played in bringing them together. Had he not trusted Ella's instincts, he would not have brought her to the South Kensington Club, and she would not have had the chance to greet the woman who would eventually become his fiancée.

One year later, James disclosed that he proposed to Thevenet in October 2019. Captioning an Instagram post of themselves, with James leaning in towards Thevenet who proudly displayed her sapphire engagement ring, he wrote, "She said yes! Our secret is now public, and we are filled with joy to share this news."

The couple got married in September 2021, having had to reschedule their wedding twice because of the COVID-19 pandemic. James expressed his joy on Instagram, stating, "Yesterday, surrounded by loved ones and a few adorable dogs, I married the person I love most in the world in the picturesque village of Bormes-les-Mimosas. I cannot find words to describe my immense happiness."

James was the last among his siblings to get married. In 2011, Kate married Prince William, while Pippa married James Matthews in 2017. James is an uncle to Kate and William's three children - Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis. He is also an uncle to Pippa's three children - Arthur, Grace, and Rose.

During a 2014 interview on Good Morning America when Kate was expecting Charlotte, James expressed his desire to be the best uncle possible. He mentioned that, like any uncle, he wanted to be the cool and fun uncle and would always strive to be just that.
