Israeli authorities have withdrawn their negotiators from Qatar after hitting a "dead end" in discussions aimed at ending the conflict in Gaza, as stated by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's office. "The Hamas terror group failed to uphold its end of the agreement, which required the release of all women and children being held captive, as stipulated in a list provided to Hamas and approved by them," the statement read.
The negotiators were from Israel's Mossad intelligence agency, and the statement indicated that David Barnea, the agency's head, was the one who called back the team. The ceasefire between Israel and Hamas was shattered on Friday morning.
