Ishura release date

Ishura will officially debut in Japan on January 3, 2024.

Ishura’s official X/Twitter page revealed on December 3 that the anime is set to premiere on January 3, along with the tagline: “Everyone is the strongest. Everyone is a champion. Only one is the true hero.”

It’s also been confirmed that it will exclusively stream internationally on Disney+ on the same day, except from the US, where it will be available on Hulu.

Ishura plot

In a fantasy realm, the recent death of the Demon King has sparked a fierce competition among demigods vying for the title of the One True Hero. However, the path to victory will be anything but simple.

Among the contenders are a master fencer with a deadly gaze, a lightning-fast lancer capable of breaking the sound barrier, a wyvern rogue skilled in triple weapon combat, an all-powerful wizard whose thoughts manifest into reality, and an assassin capable of administering instant death.

Get ready to witness all these champions in Keiso and Kureta's series as they take on formidable foes and compete against each other to establish the mightiest hero. The battle is about to begin.

The animation studio Passione produces the show, with Takeo Takahashi as the chief director, Yuki Ogawa as the director, and Hironori Aoyagi, Takuya Asaoka, Fujiaki Asari, and Takahiro Majima as assistant directors. Kenta Ihara serves as the series composer, Yoko Kikuchi and Yuka Takashina as the character designers, Masahiro Tokuda as the music composer, and Takatoshi Himano as the sound director.

On October 26, the official opening theme song Shura ni Otoshite by sajou no hana was also revealed.

Is there a trailer?

The official trailer for Ishura was released back in July 2023.

Fans on Reddit are already praising the released visuals of the full length trailer for the upcoming anime, which gave the first insight into the fantasy world. It features dragons, ninja battles, damsels in distress and epic fight scenes.

As a Gen Z fan, I am incredibly excited about the upcoming anime adaptation of Ishura. The series has been a favorite of mine for years, and I can't wait to see it come to life on screen.
