Allen the Alien suffers a brutal beating in Season 2 of Invincible that nearly kills him. However, in Episode 3's conclusion, the question remains: is he actually dead? Our review described this latest episode as a gripping encounter that leaves viewers breathless. It's a reminder of the intense nature of the show and the high stakes involved.
The content begins with Mark starting college, but quickly shifts to Allen the Alien in space. In the midst of his Captain Unopa origin story, he informs Thaedus and the Coalition of Planets about Invincible. The council leader then requests Allen to uncover a potential traitor leaking information to the Viltrum empire.
Shortly after, Allen is having dinner with General Telia when he is violently attacked by three Viltrumites. He is left gravely injured, teetering on the edge of death. The question remains: is Allen truly deceased?
Is Allen dead in Invincible?
While it certainly seems like Allen is killed by Thaedus at the end of Season 2 Episode 3, we’re betting that we’ll see him again in Invincible.
After the Viltrumites brutally disfigure Allen and damage his internal organs, he is carefully placed into a regenerative pod at Talescria. Telia remains by his side, seeking solace, while Thaedus tries to comfort her by acknowledging that they have once again underestimated Allen's extraordinary will to endure.
Thaedus kindly requests Telia to go home and rest while he keeps a watchful eye on Allen. Little does she know, this presents Thaedus with the perfect opportunity to deliberately deactivate Allen's life support systems. "I'm sorry, Allen," he utters remorsefully, as the chamber powers down and seems to seal his unfortunate destiny.
However, in the comics, Allen's character does not meet his demise at the hands of Thaedus. Without revealing the details of his survival or the reasons behind it, it is worth noting that he makes a return.
In response to the episode, a Redditor expressed admiration for Allen's bravery, stating, "Allen truly possesses remarkable courage. Despite being outnumbered by three powerful Viltrumites and fully aware of the unfavorable outcome, he defiantly chooses to confront them with a smile on his face. I sincerely hope that his fate does not entail a tragic demise in a hospital bed, as he is an incredibly captivating character."
"Why did I have to witness Allen's death twice? And the way he smiled at his girlfriend in his last moments, aware of what was about to happen. He appeared genuinely happy to see her. That damn Thaedus must be responsible for Allen's demise, twice," another person expressed. "Sorry, but what the heck is up with that ending? And if Allen is really dead, I might just get sick," a third individual commented.

As a Gen Z netizen, I have mixed feelings about the potential death of Allen the Alien in Invincible Season 2. On one hand, I am deeply saddened by the thought of losing such a beloved character. Allen has been a fan favorite since the beginning of the series, and his bravery and determination in the face of overwhelming odds have been truly inspiring. On the other hand, I am also intrigued by the possibility of Allen's resurrection. The comics have shown that Allen is capable of surviving even the most dire situations, and I would be excited to see how the showrunners handle his return.
Overall, I think the uncertainty surrounding Allen's fate is one of the most compelling aspects of Invincible Season 2. It keeps me invested in the story and eager to find out what happens next. I am confident that the showrunners will do right by Allen, and I can't wait to see what the future holds for him.
