The eagerly-awaiting fans of Invincible are no doubt on edge for Season 2 Episode 5 following the shocking ending of last week - so where is it, and why isn't it airing tonight?
Following a solemn beginning with the lingering trauma of Nolan - the violence, the lies - affecting everyone and everything, Mark finally reunites with Omni-Man in the fourth episode.
We described it as "incredibly violent, shocking, and infuriating," and the stakes continue to rise. However, fans have also criticized it as "disgusting" for a different reason, especially in relation to Invincible Episode 5. So, where is it?
Where is Invincible Season 2 Episode 5?
Invincible Season 2 Episode 5 won’t be released until 2024, as the second season has just reached its midseason break.
The decision to split the season has sparked controversy among fans, who are disappointed to hear that the series won't return to Prime Video until next year. Despite four more episodes remaining in Season 2, they'll have to wait until February/March 2024 at the earliest to see them. Co-showrunner Simon Racioppa explained, "The decision was made as issues came up during production. We felt it was best to present the show with these four episodes now, rather than making the audience wait even longer. We will come back after a few months and give you the rest."
Kirkman, speaking to Collider, explained the decision to release only four episodes early before the full season, stating that it was a practical move due to scheduling and the potential loss of viewers during the holiday season and beginning of the year. He encouraged fans to view the early release positively and not focus on missing out on the entire season.

Editor's P/S
As an ardent fan of the Invincible series, I was eagerly anticipating the release of Season 2 Episode 5. However, I was disappointed to learn that the episode will not be airing tonight and that the second season has reached its midseason break. The decision to split the season has left me and many other fans frustrated and disappointed.
While I understand that production issues can arise and affect release schedules, I can't help but feel that the wait for the remaining episodes will be excruciating. The first four episodes of Season 2 left me captivated and eager for more, and now I have to wait until 2024 to see how the story unfolds. It's a long wait, but I trust that the showrunners and production team are making the best decision for the series' quality and longevity.
In the meantime, I'll be rewatching the available episodes and speculating about what might happen next. I'm confident that the wait will be worth it, and I can't wait to see what the future holds for Invincible and its characters.
