Millie Bobby Brown and Jake Bongiovi, son of rock legend Jon Bon Jovi, are taking their whirlwind romance to the next level.

The Stranger Things star shared the exciting news of their engagement on Instagram in April 2023, after being together for two years. In a heartfelt caption accompanying a black-and-white photo showing off her diamond ring, Brown expressed her love for Bongiovi, saying, "I’ve loved you three summers now, honey, I want ’em all." (At the time, Brown was 19 and Bongiovi was 20.)

The couple first met on social media and started dating. They made their first red carpet appearance together at the 2022 BAFTA Film Awards in London. Despite their relationship moving fast, they openly express their love for each other.

In May 2023, Brown shared a sweet message on Instagram along with photos of herself and Bongiovi holding hands. She expressed how happy she is exploring life with him and how she will always be by his side. It was a birthday message for her fiancé, showing her love for him.

In a recent interview with The Times, Brown shared a heartwarming detail about her engagement ring. She disclosed that the ring actually belonged to her mother. Brown expressed her love for the ring, stating that it has always caught her eye. She happily mentioned that her mother gave the ring to her fiancé, Jake. According to the actress, her mother and Jake collaborated on the proposal. Brown expressed her joy in being able to always carry a piece of her mother with her through the ring.

When it comes to finding the perfect wedding dress, Brown said it’s “not about what I wear,” noting that she was “weighing up options” of brands.

On an episode of Today With Hoda & Jenna, she explained, "I feel like that’s asking me to go and do a full-on play for everyone. I think the man needs a break, he doesn’t stop. He’s always doing tennis or singing lessons. I think he needs a break. A three-hour break."

Brown expressed her excitement about the wedding planning process during an episode of Good Morning America. She described it as a truly amazing experience in her life so far. Brown also mentioned that doing it with someone special makes the whole process even more enjoyable.

In an interview with Glamour, she mentioned that they both grew up witnessing loving and healthy relationships, which has instilled a strong desire in both of them to have a successful marriage.

Brown's main goal was not marriage. She shared, "My dream was to have a baby. I wanted to be like my mom and grandmother. Being a wife was never my plan. However, after meeting Jake, I realized he didn't expect me to fit a certain wife stereotype. He encouraged me to pursue my own interests and supported me every step of the way. That's when I knew I wanted this. Why wait? Let's do it now."
