Ariana Madix and Katie Maloney. Bravo (2)
Vanderpump Rules united Ariana Madix and Katie Maloney, but they have no intention of honoring the show or its cast members at their sandwich shop, Something About Her. "Nothing at Something About Her is connected to the show or any of the cast members," Maloney, 36, revealed exclusively to We as she and Madix promote their partnership with Lays.
Madix, aged 38, pointed out that Bravo viewers should not anticipate their store to solely rely on their reality TV background, stating, "We need to introduce fresh content."
During the filming of season 9 of Vanderpump Rules, the co-stars made the decision to venture into business together. Since then, they have provided glimpses of their upcoming French bistro-inspired sandwich shop, which is soon to be inaugurated.
“We are prioritizing our attention on the aspects that are within our control, while acknowledging the authority that oversees the aspects beyond our control. We are adapting to unexpected challenges," Madix informed Us, referring to previous permit complications. Maloney chimed in, "It is disheartening that new obstacles seem to arise at every corner."
Notwithstanding these hindrances, Madix and Maloney have already made their personal favorites selections from the menu.
Madix expressed her strong preference for the Greek salad sandwich, exclaiming, "It's my absolute favorite!" Maloney concurred, mentioning another personal favorite, saying, "Additionally, the spicy Italian sandwich holds a special place in my heart."
Furthermore, their professional collaboration has strengthened the bond between Madix and Maloney, bringing them closer as friends.
"I never wanted to do this alone. I perform my best when I have a team to work with and bounce ideas off," Maloney expressed. "Working in a team or partnership environment is where I excel the most. However, I believe that overcoming my weaknesses has become my strength, especially when I've come close to losing it."
Presumably, Season 11 of Vanderpump Rules, which concluded earlier this summer, will document Madix and Maloney's journey as they open Something About Her. According to the pair, fans should not have any preconceived notions about who will be causing the most drama this season.
"Can you imagine? Perhaps in certain respects, [it will be us]. However, I have a sense that in unforeseen ways, it might very well be us," Maloney playfully hinted.
Meanwhile, Madix eagerly awaits the progression of the season. "It's difficult to predict because we haven't witnessed any of it," she shared with Us. "We'll be discovering it right alongside all of you when you tune in."
Madix and Maloney are currently prioritizing their upcoming trip to BravoCon in Las Vegas. The event, starting on Friday, November 3, holds significance as it aligns with National Sandwich Day. Madix expressed her enthusiasm for the Lays activation at the event, which mirrors certain aspects of "Something About Her." Attendees can expect an immersive experience, featuring unique photo opportunities and delectable sandwich chip bites.
She expressed her enthusiasm for the Lays activation and acknowledged that BravoCon can be chaotic. However, she also anticipated feeling tired but believed that the exhaustion would be worth it. Maloney also voiced her endorsement of the Lays partnership, stating that a chip and sandwich duo is a perfect match and the collaboration felt organic.
