Princess Eugenie spills the beans on her secret to ordering takeout at Kensington Palace, unveiling her clever tactic with husband Jack Brooksbank Discover their unique approach in this intriguing article

Princess Eugenie revealed that getting takeout food is quite challenging for her family while staying at Kensington Palace. On the "Table Manners" podcast, she shared that they recently ordered a curry, something she never eats, and struggled to understand the delivery process, spending an hour on Deliveroo.

After ordering from the British delivery app, the couple had to notify palace workers that their food was on the way. Eugenie mentioned that they would then change into their pajamas and drive down to pick it up. This surprised podcast hosts Jessie and Lennie Ware, who questioned why the couple had to drive to pick it up instead of having it brought to them. Eugenie explained that they could walk, but she preferred not to be outside in her pajamas.

Princess Eugenie didn't just talk about her takeout order trek on the podcast, she also mentioned her unconventional approach to tea, describing it as "not that princess" because she only lets her Earl Grey tea bag steep for a few moments before removing it.

“I’ve always done it this way,” she explained. “I believe my mom [Sarah Ferguson] did it, and then I followed suit. I don’t know any other way to do it. Well, I do know, but I don’t enjoy the flavor.”

The Princess of York also mentioned that she stopped drinking coffee because she “heard that the three things that make you unhealthy are coffee, sugar and alcohol.” She added, “I thought giving up coffee would be the easiest one.”

As the daughter of Prince Andrew, Eugenie and her sister, Princess Beatrice, were taught the importance of table manners at home and when visiting their late grandmother, Queen Elizabeth II. “We can’t have knees at the table,” she was reminded. Eugenie explained how her mother would ask, “Are they invited to lunch? Are they invited to dinner?” if she saw a knee at the table.

Eugenie mentioned that she is not concerned about enforcing strict table manners with her husband Jack Brooksbank’s two young sons, August, 2, and Ernest, 5 months. In fact, she allowed her eldest to eat breakfast in front of the TV the morning of her podcast interview.
