Inside Meghan Trainor and Daryl Sabara's Captivating Love Story

Meghan Trainor and Daryl Sabara initially crossed paths in 2014, but it wasn't until two years later that they decided to give their romantic relationship a chance. They first met at a party and then reunited during a double date with actress Chloë Grace Moretz and her then-boyfriend, Brooklyn Beckham.

"I've been asking everyone I've met since the beginning, 'Help me find a boyfriend!' This includes even new friends," the singer shared with Chelsea Handler during an episode of the comedian's Netflix show in 2016. "Chloë Grace Moretz is a close friend of mine, and right after meeting her, I asked, 'Do you know anyone I could date or have a meaningful relationship with?'"

Impressed by the genuine kindness of the Spy Kids star, whom she referred to as "the nicest guy in the world," the Kick-Ass actress decided to set Trainor up with him.

After one year of dating, the couple decided to get engaged and tie the knot in 2019. Trainor recently shared an interesting aspect of her pregnancy, revealing that she experiences a mental aversion to engaging in sexual activity while their son is present. During an interview on the Today show in November 2020, Trainor mentioned that although her pregnancy apps explain that it can be pleasurable, her mind is preoccupied with the thought of having a little boy growing inside her.

Three months later, the couple joyfully greeted their son Riley after a harrowing delivery.

Describing the experience on the Today show in June 2021, Trainor shared, "It was like one of those terrifying tales where there's no cry. He didn't utter a sound upon arrival. I remember thinking, 'Why isn't he crying?' That's when they informed me about his breathing complications."

Trainor and Sabara had a difficult start when their baby boy was taken away shortly after birth, which they described as the worst part of the delivery experience. However, they feel fortunate to have been able to bring him home after five days. Later on, Trainor also reflected on how she and Sabara have grown closer over the years.

She expressed gratitude for his continuous efforts to improve her life and make it more manageable. Subsequently, in January 2023, Trainor joyfully announced her pregnancy with their second child.

"I don't know if this sounds strange, but I can't mentally engage in sexual activity while our son is inside me," she shared. "Even though pregnancy apps claim it's pleasurable, I can't shake the thought of having a little boy growing inside my belly."

Three months later, their son Riley was born, in what Trainor described as a "terrifying" birth experience. Recounting the moment on the Today show in June 2021, Trainor revealed, "It was like one of those horror stories where there's no crying. He was silent when he came out, and I started to worry. That's when they informed me about his respiratory challenges."

The Voice UK judge and the star of Polar Express barely had a glimpse of their baby boy before he had to be separated, which was the most difficult part of the delivery. Trainor stated, "It was a challenging beginning. However, we consider ourselves fortunate to have been able to bring him home after five days."

In the following months, Trainor reminisced about growing closer to Sabara throughout the years.

Trainor announced her second pregnancy with her partner Daryl in January 2023.

During an interview with Cosmopolitan magazine, Trainor gushed about her first kiss with Sabara.

"He kissed me at the bowling alley. To avoid any prying eyes, I instructed my security to step outside. His prowess in kissing was unparalleled, surpassing even my own talents. It came as a pleasant surprise, leaving me astounded. In the past, I had never truly felt alluring in the presence of other men. None had verbalized their admiration for my physique within the confines of the bedroom until I crossed paths with Daryl. During her appearance on the "Why Won't You Date Me?" podcast, Trainor caused a stir by revealing an interesting addition to their new house. She explained that during the construction, they decided to install two toilets side by side in their bathroom. This was because as new parents, there were often moments in the middle of the night when both she and her partner needed to use the bathroom simultaneously.

The "Hopeless Romance” singer added: “We got two toilets sitting next to each other, and we’ve only pooped together twice. We pee at the same time a lot.”

During an episode of the "Workin' On It" podcast, Trainor described her experience of being intimate with Sabara as a challenging one due to her diagnosis of vaginismus. She expressed her frustration by sharing, "It's reached the point where I question if it's fully inserted, and he reassures me by saying, 'Just the tip.'" Trainor admitted, "I reach my limit and can't continue any further. I genuinely don't know how to resolve this issue."

The couple joyfully welcomed their baby boy, Barry, into the world on July 1st, coinciding with their 7th anniversary of their first date. Trainor shared the news on Instagram, expressing gratitude to the skilled medical team who ensured a successful c-section and provided excellent care for the new family. Barry weighed a healthy 8lbs 7oz, and despite his transverse presentation, Trainor cherished the opportunity for skin-to-skin bonding time.
