Kaitlyn Bristowe and Jason Tartick set Bachelor Nation ablaze with their high-profile romance that began in January 2019.

The connection between the Dew Edit designer and the ex-banker was first established during an interview on Bristowe's popular podcast, "Off the Vine." Only two months had passed since Bristowe ended her three-year engagement with Shawn Booth, her former fiancé, when she and Tartick officially announced they were an item.

The Dancing With the Stars champion shared exclusively with We in August 2022 that she and Tartick encountered some challenges while organizing their wedding. Bristowe explained that they were struggling to find a venue and select a date, which she did not anticipate to be so difficult. She mentioned that her fiancé is adamant about having a grand ceremony, while she, being non-traditional, suggested going to the courthouse instead. However, Tartick was not open to that idea.

Before becoming the Bachelor, Colton Underwood, Kaitlyn Bristowe was rooting for Jason Tartick to take on the role. Tartick had appeared on Becca Kufrin's season of the reality dating show in 2018. Interestingly, when Tartick was a guest on Bristowe's podcast, they hit it off right from the start and he asked her out. And, without any hesitation, she gladly accepted his invitation.

Britsowe reminisced about the endearing moment when the couple initially crossed paths in an emotionally charged Instagram post. She acknowledged that she was going through a challenging time when he visited her to record an episode of her podcast, "Off the Vine," in October of last year.

She disclosed that her mood instantly changed after meeting her significant other. While she was on a FaceTime call with her father, shedding tears, he unexpectedly entered the room. Even though they had never met before, he embraced her and revealed that he had just shed tears himself at a charity event he had attended.

Recalling the heartfelt encounter, she shared that he gazed into her eyes and proposed, "Let's spend a gentle Tuesday together."

"I have recorded and co-written five songs, but this sixth one is where I truly feel like I made a significant contribution. Although I'm not a musician, I recognize the need for a co-writer and individuals who excel at composing chords and creating the musical aspects. That's why I collaborated with Rachel, an incredibly talented pianist. We spent eight hours together, investing our time and effort into crafting this song. I am immensely proud of the result and genuinely love it. A couple of weeks ago, I sang it to Jason, and it evoked such strong emotions that he became teary-eyed. "I have a particular way of doing things, and it seems that even with dogs, I have this instinctive maternal side where I expect Jason to do things correctly. Sometimes I wonder, 'How can you not know how to do that?'" she began. "I worry that when we have children, I will need to be mindful of how hard I am on you, because I'll think I have this instinctual knowledge as a mother and know what to do. I'll be concerned about how you'll handle it."

Tartick expressed that they frequently engage in arguments regarding what is best for the dogs. They both hold strong beliefs on certain matters, often claiming that one always thinks they are right while the other counters with their own viewpoint. Nevertheless, they have discovered ways to reach compromises because without compromise, the relationship cannot thrive. Therefore, they acknowledge the importance of give and take, as well as carefully selecting the battles they choose to fight — this is a valuable lesson Tartick has learned over time.

Tartick, Bristowe's boyfriend, quickly expressed his congratulations and admiration during a FaceTime call. The banker playfully mocked his girlfriend's social media misstep, jokingly commenting on her Instagram post, "OMG Kait ‍️ — causing a stir like macaroni in a pot."

The couple made their engagement public through social media. Bristowe expressed her delight to Entertainment Tonight regarding the proposal, stating, "It was everything I could have asked for. The words he spoke were incredibly beautiful. We had never shared such an intense gaze before. We were holding hands, and it felt overwhelming. I was completely focused on listening to him, yet I can't recall much of it." During the "Click Bait With Bachelor Nation" podcast, he reflected on the things we can and cannot control in life. Our looks fall into the category of things we cannot control, and it is disheartening to witness the hurtful and derogatory remarks made about someone's appearance, specifically referring to Kaitlyn. It is truly appalling and should not be taken lightly.
