Dalton Gomez, Ariana Grande's estranged husband, remains hopeful that they can salvage their marriage despite their separation. A source reveals that Gomez, 27, has been deeply affected by the situation, as it was not his desire to be separated. He had hoped for a happy ending and it seems unlikely at the moment.

Us confirmed earlier this week that Ariana Grande, aged 30, and Dalton Gomez have decided to part ways after being married for two years. According to a source, the couple has been experiencing issues for several months now. These problems existed even before Grande left for her filming of Wicked in London, and the distance between them only worsened the situation. Currently, they are not in contact and are living separately, making a divorce highly probable. Following the news of their separation, it was noticed by fans that Grande was not wearing her wedding ring while attending Wimbledon in London on Sunday, July 16. Additionally, she seemingly removed all of the couple's wedding photos from her Instagram page.

Grande and Gomez got married in May 2021 after being in a relationship for just over a year. The wedding took place at her residence in Montecito, California. According to a statement from Grande's representative, the atmosphere was filled with happiness and love, with both families being extremely pleased.

Although their relationship is currently going through a rough patch, another source informs Us that Gomez still holds onto hope for a possible reconciliation.

“Dalton is determined to salvage his relationship with Ariana,” the second source reveals. “Despite the challenges they have faced, he remains steadfast in his commitment to their marriage. He envisioned a future with Ariana and is willing to go to great lengths to overcome this hurdle.”

Dalton Gomez has been casually dating to keep his mind off the breakup, but he isn't interested in a serious relationship at the moment.

"He hasn't completely moved on from Ariana and hopes to reconcile with her," reveals a second source, asserting that Grande is accepting of her ex-partner exploring new love interests. "She simply wants to move on and has no resentment towards their separation."

Before her relationship with Gomez, Grande was previously engaged to Pete Davidson. The comedian, aged 29, and Grande ended their four-month romance in October 2018. Additionally, Grande had dated Big Sean from 2014 to 2015 and the late rapper Mac Miller from 2016 to 2018.
