Ariana Grande is focused on her future following her separation from her estranged husband, Dalton Gomez. A source exclusively shared that Ariana is determined to move forward and her loved ones are pleased with the progress she is making in her personal life.
The source reveals, "While it is a sad situation, both parties agree that this is ultimately the right decision. Ariana and Dalton have very distinct personalities."
Rumors of a split began circulating after the 30-year-old singer was spotted without her wedding ring at Wimbledon on Sunday, July 16. On Monday, July 17, Us confirmed that Grande and Dalton, 27, have decided to end their two-year marriage.
According to a second insider, Ariana and Dalton have been facing ongoing difficulties for several months. These challenges had already arisen prior to Ariana's departure for Wicked filming in London, and unfortunately, the distance between them only exacerbated the issues. Communication has been scarce, leading to their separation, and it seems probable that a divorce is on the horizon.
In February 2020, the previous couple made their relationship public. Within a year of dating, it was verified by Us that Grande got engaged to the real estate agent.
According to a third source who spoke with Us in December 2020, "Ariana is extremely thrilled. She has truly relished the opportunity to get to know and develop a deep affection for Dalton outside of the public eye, an experience she hadn't encountered in her previous relationships. They are deeply in love and fully committed to spending their lives together."
The couple exchanged vows in May 2021 in a private ceremony at their residence in Montecito, California. Prior to their marriage, Grande garnered attention for her brief engagement to Pete Davidson, with whom she had a four-month relationship in 2018.
During that time, the former Nickelodeon star expressed her desire to have children in the future. In a 2018 interview with Beats 1's Ebro Darden, she mentioned, "Eventually, I want down the line, probably, like, three kids." However, Grande later clarified in a tweet that she wasn't currently ready to have children but humorously referred to herself as a "fertile queen."
Grande has been keeping a low profile as she films her highly anticipated movie Wicked. In a rare appearance on social media earlier this year, the actress bravely spoke out against body-shamers.
"I'm not accustomed to doing this. It's not something I enjoy or excel at," she shared in an April TikTok video. "But I wanted to address the concerns about my body. There are better ways to give compliments or choose to ignore things you don't like. Let's support and protect each other."
She added, "Beauty comes in various forms, and there are numerous ways to attain a healthy and beautiful appearance. Please note that the body you have been comparing to my current figure is actually the unhealthiest version of myself. During that time, I was at my lowest point in life. The appearance you consider 'my healthy' was not a reflection of true health. It is important to remember that we never truly know what someone is experiencing. Therefore, let us all show kindness towards one another and ourselves."
