Together, Indy and Helena embark on a mission to find Basil's obsession, the Dial of Destiny, in order to prevent the former Nazi, Jürgen Voller (portrayed by Mads Mikkelsen), from obtaining it.

The planned prequel TV show for Disney+ that was supposed to follow the release of Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny has reportedly been put on hold. Although Disney CEO Bob Iger is open to the idea of continuing the Indiana Jones series, it has been confirmed that the latest film will be Harrison Ford's final adventure as Indy, regardless of the franchise's future. If Waller-Bridge does reprise her role as Helena in a future Indiana Jones project, it is uncertain whether director Mangold will be involved.

Given that Helena is a character with great potential for further adventures, Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny could have set the stage for more stories centered around her.
