Story of Seasons: A Wonderful Life is a delightful game for fans of farming and life simulation genres. In this game, players have the exciting task of caring for farm animals, seeking love, and developing a small village called Forgotten Valley. Alongside the various activities available in the game, ensuring the happiness and well-being of the animals is a crucial aspect of gameplay.
One of the essential ways to achieve this is by feeding the animals. When players first arrive on the farm, they receive a Cow and a supply of Fodder. While this initial batch of Fodder lasts for a while with just one Cow, it is necessary to acquire more quickly, especially if planning to expand the collection of animals. To help with this, we have prepared a guide on obtaining Fodder and effectively feeding Cows and other livestock in A Wonderful Life.
How to Get Fodder in A Wonderful Life
Players will begin with 30 Fodder stored in their Barn's Silo. As the supply starts to dwindle, they will need to purchase more in order to properly care for their animals. The happier the animals, the higher the quality of Milk and Wool they will produce, allowing players to earn money at a faster pace. It is crucial to feed all the Barn animals twice a day, so it is wise to stock up on Fodder.
Players can obtain feed by using the blue Ledger located beside the Shipping Bin. By interacting with the Ledger, they can choose the option "Order Feed." There are three available slots for feed orders, allowing players to conveniently purchase Fodder, Fodder+, and Bird Feed for their Chickens all at once.
It is important for players to note that the ordered feed will not be delivered until the following day. Therefore, careful planning is necessary if they are concerned about running out of feed. The prices for Fodder and Bird Feed are 20G, while Fodder+ costs 50G. In order to afford larger feed orders, players have the option to catch fish using the Fishing Rod for extra money.
To acquire Fodder, players can opt for an alternative method by gathering it from the pasture situated behind the barn. In this area, there are dense patches of tall grass that can be cut down using the Sickle, ultimately transforming into valuable Fodder. Although the grass will replenish naturally over time, players can expedite the growth process by utilizing Fertilizer available for purchase at Vespa's shop.
How to Feed Cows in A Wonderful Life
Players have the option to store their Fodder in the Barn Silo and retrieve it when needed. In order to feed Cows, Sheep, and Horses, they must equip either Fodder or Fodder+ and place it in the appropriate feed troughs. When Cows are content, players can obtain valuable Milk by using the Milker. Eventually, they can acquire an improved Milker from the traveling salesman Van.
On sunny days, players have the ability to release their farm animals to the pasture, boosting their spirits. The animals will graze on the grass, which keeps them nourished but depletes the grass. Interacting with the animals daily by talking to them, cuddling them, or using the Brush will increase their affection, health, and overall happiness. If players own Sheep, they should utilize the Clippers to harvest their Wool and perform grooming tasks.
