Overwatch 2 Illari Abilities
Blizzard has unveiled the details of Illari's abilities, giving fans a clear understanding of what to expect from the new Support hero. Illari wields a long-range Solar Rifle as her weapon, which functions with a primary fire that is as expected, while also featuring a healing beam as a secondary fire to restore her allies' health. Additionally, Illari possesses the powerful Outburst ability, allowing her to propel herself in any direction she desires, effectively pushing back enemies similar to Pharah's Concussive Blast, but with a more centralized impact. Furthermore, Illari possesses a Healing Pylon at her disposal, capable of providing healing to nearby allies. Lastly, her remarkable Captive Sun Ultimate ability allows her to shoot a colossal solar ball at enemies, slowing them down before eventually detonating and inflicting significant damage.
Prior to the Season 6 update, Game Rant was able to test out Illari. Illari can be seen as a more aggressive version of the Support role, as her Ultimate and primary fire both lean towards offense. Unlike most Support heroes in Overwatch who primarily focus on healing, Illari stands out with her offensive abilities. From our experience, she's enjoyable to play, but the true verdict will come when the community gets a chance to play her themselves.
Blizzard not only revealed Illari's abilities, but also shared some intriguing details about the character. Illari, the newest hero, will have two different hairstyles available right from the start, making her unique. Additionally, she holds the distinction of being the youngest hero in the game. Hailing from Peru, Illari is a member of the formidable Solar Warriors. While she currently does not feature in any of the game's PvE content, it remains compelling to see if she will eventually join the renowned Overwatch group and how she will contribute to the overarching narrative.
Overwatch 2 is now available for PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
