Next month, a pale pink blouse with a ruff collar, worn by Princess Diana in a 1981 engagement portrait, is anticipated to be sold for as much as $100,000 at an upcoming auction. The blouse was captured in a portrait by Lord Snowdon, which was widely featured in magazines and newspapers, including Vogue, to announce her engagement to Prince Charles (later King Charles III).

One of Princess Dianas most famous dresses sells for $604,800
Elizabeth and David Emanuel, known for designing Diana's wedding dress, created a blouse with a satin ribbon tied in a bow under the collar. The fabric was salvaged from a damaged dress that had a mascara stain from a client trying it on, as written in Elizabeth Emanuel's book "A Dress for Diana," according to Juliens Auctions.
Emanuel recalled how Diana fell in love with our blouse when she saw it on the rack, asked about the designer, and was directed to us. The designer held onto the blouse after Diana wore it until selling it in 2010. The blouse was later displayed at Kensington Palace from 2017 to 2019 as part of an exhibition of the princess's clothes.

Another one of Diana's ensembles, an evening gown that she wore in public on two occasions, is anticipated to fetch a price of up to $200,000 at the upcoming auction. The dress features a black velvet bodice adorned with star embroidery, a dropped waist, padded shoulders, and a blue skirt, capturing the essence of 1980s fashion, a time when Diana rose to prominence as a fashion icon.
Additional items being auctioned off include memorabilia that was used or worn by some of the most prominent Hollywood stars during the 1950s and 1960s. For instance, a yellow wool Givenchy coat that Audrey Hepburn wore in the 1963 film "Charade" is anticipated to be sold for as much as $40,000, and a carriage clock previously owned by Marilyn Monroe may fetch $4,000.
The sale is due to take place in Beverly Hills and online between December 14 and December 17.
