"This will undoubtedly be the most momentous spectacle any of us have ever witnessed," declares Dominic West, portraying Prince Charles, in the captivating trailer for the ultimate installment of "The Crown." Elizabeth Debicki reprises her role as Princess Diana, portrayed during the last months of her life as she grapples with her overwhelming worldwide renown, incessantly pursued by paparazzi and at odds with the royal family due to the inordinate attention she receives.
The trailer also features a small glimpse into her relationship with Dodi Fayed (played by Khalid Abdalla).
Princess Diana and Fayed died during a high-speed car chase in Paris in 1997.
"The Windsors are facing a significant moment as Diana, who is now not a part of the royal family, continues to hold the public's attention in the weeks leading up to her unfortunate demise," states the trailer's caption.
The upcoming sixth and final season of the show will be divided into two parts, covering the period from 1997 to 2005, which includes notable events such as the tragic passing of Princess Diana and the romance between Prince William and Kate Middleton.
Imelda Staunton returns as Queen Elizabeth in her later years.
The first part of Season 6 of "The Crown" starts streaming on Netflix on Nov. 16.
