The Mega 95 is a portable console that pays homage to Sega's last handheld system and the Nintendo Switch. It is capable of playing Genesis cartridges and can be connected to a dock to play the old 16-bit games on a TV screen, similar to the Sega Nomad. Although Hyperkin has not announced a release date or price for the Mega 95, the company does sell a handheld system for Super Nintendo cartridges called the SupaBoy for $120, but it does not include a dock. According to The Verge.
Introducing the Mega 95 with a 5-inch screen that can seamlessly switch between widescreen 16:9 and retro 4:3 displays for Genesis games. Enjoy up to 10 hours of battery life on this portable system.
Hyperkin is also revamping the original Xbox Controller S with significant upgrades for Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and Windows 10 and 11 PCs. Similar to the Mega 95, the new pad, named the DuchesS, does not yet have a confirmed release date or price point.
It's been almost six years exactly since Hyperkin brought back the original Xbox controller called the Duke. The company was also behind the revival of the Xbox 360 pad for Xbox Series X|S, too.

As a Gen Z fan, I am thrilled about the Hyperkin Mega 95. Growing up, I always wanted a Sega Nomad, but it was too expensive for my parents to buy me one. Now that I'm an adult, I can finally fulfill my childhood dream of owning a portable Genesis console. I love that the Mega 95 can play Genesis cartridges and connect to a dock to play games on a TV screen. It's the perfect way to experience classic 16-bit games on the go or at home. I also appreciate that Hyperkin is revamping the original Xbox Controller S with significant upgrades. The DuchesS controller looks like a great way to enjoy modern games with a classic controller. I'm excited to see more details about the Mega 95 and DuchesS controller, including their release dates and prices.
I think the Mega 95 is a great way for Gen Z fans to experience classic Genesis games in a new way. It's also a great way for us to connect with our childhoods and the gaming experiences that shaped us. I can't wait to get my hands on the Mega 95 and start playing my favorite Genesis games on the go!
