The healing wells in Diablo 4 are currently utilized to replenish a player's health bar, primary resource, and potion count. However, a slight adjustment could make them even more convenient. Despite being a highly enjoyable experience, Diablo 4 lacks certain quality-of-life features that players are eagerly anticipating to be added soon. Popular suggestions from the community include gem bags, a more customizable user interface, improved itemization, and a less harsh version of level scaling.
As Blizzard prepares for the first season of Diablo 4, they have been inundated with valuable feedback from the community. In response to the players' biggest concerns, Diablo 4 has scheduled its first Campfire Chat for June 16. While it is improbable that the game will be able to incorporate all the features that fans have been requesting since its launch, the opportunity for the developers to discuss the future direction of the game will undoubtedly alleviate some of the community's apprehension.
Currently, Barbarians and Druids in Diablo 4 do not benefit from passive regeneration on their Fury or Spirit like Sorcerers do for their Mana. While healing wells will replenish their Resource if their Health isn't full, players of these classes must intentionally harm themselves in order to drink from the well and refill their Fury or Spirit. To alleviate this issue, -Nok from the Diablo subreddit has proposed removing this restriction, which would provide a helpful boost to certain classes without changing the fundamental purpose of the healing well. Another suggestion is to split the well into separate Health and Resource versions, much like in Diablo 2. However, given the nature of potions in Diablo 4, encountering an "energy well" would likely feel lackluster. This same sentiment is echoed by players who feel that the Greed Shrine in Diablo 4 does not provide significant enough gold bonuses or powerful combat boons compared to other shrines.
Diablo 4 has definitely exceeded the expectations of most fans at launch when compared to its predecessor. The game's foundation is solid, having been developed based on a decade's worth of lessons learned from Diablo 3. Its open world is a beautiful tribute to the world of Sanctuary, and with Diablo 4's expansions, it will only continue to grow. As a live service title, players can expect to see the changes they desire sooner rather than later. Diablo 4 is currently available on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
