Reportedly, Disney+ is planning a reboot of the beloved film "Honey, I Shrunk The Kids." The original story was created by Stuart Gordon and Brian Yuzna, with direction by Joe Johnston. The film follows a group of kids who accidentally shrink themselves with a machine invented by their father, Wayne Szalinski (Rick Moranis). Now, they must navigate their backyard, which has become a dangerous place for them at only a quarter of an inch tall.
When "Honey, I Shrunk The Kids" was released in 1989, it became a surprise hit that spawned two sequels. However, the franchise's last installment was a short-lived TV show that ended in 2000. In February 2018, Disney+ announced plans to remake classic films, including "Honey, I Shrunk The Kids." Sadly, it appears that the project has hit a roadblock and is currently stalled.
