Hilarious Finalists Unveiled for the Comedy Wildlife Photo Award 2023!

The Comedy Wildlife Photo Awards unveils its hilarious 2023 finalists Get ready for a rib-tickling collection of chubby seals, playful monkeys, surprised leopards, and one incredibly joyous turtle Prepare to laugh out loud!

This has been an exciting week for those who enjoy amusing animal pictures. Fat Bear Week is currently in progress, and public voting began on Wednesday. The event was almost canceled due to a US government shutdown. Additionally, the Comedy Wildlife Photo Awards, based in the UK, has announced its 2023 shortlist.

The public is also being asked for their assistance in reviewing images of animals in funny positions and voting for the funniest one in the Peoples Choice Award. Additionally, there is an opportunity to win £500 (approximately $600) in a prize draw.

Will the crown be given to the round seal rushing along the English coast? Or maybe the graceful Ubud monkey using its tail as a pretend mustache? Perhaps you are inclined towards the joyful turtle making friends with a dragonfly, or the energetic joey throwing "jazz hands" while jumping in the air.

The comical anthropomorphization has a significant side to it.

The awards were established in 2015 by professional photographers Paul Joynson-Hicks and Tom Sullam, with the additional objective of promoting wildlife conservation. This year's competition is dedicated to supporting the Whitley Fund for Nature, a UK charity that provides financial aid to conservationists worldwide.

The panel of judges comprises well-known UK personalities, including TV presenter Kate Humble, comedian Hugh Dennis, and acclaimed wildlife photographers Daisy Gilardini and Will Bullard-Lucas.

The announcement of the Overall Winner, Category Winners, and Highly Commended Winners will take place on November 23. The top image will be rewarded with a one-week safari in Kenya's Maasai Mara and a custom-made trophy.

The LOLs don't end here for the diehard fans. Tanzania will be hosting the inaugural Comedy Wildlife Guided African Safari in October 2024, led by Hicks and Sullam, the co-founders of the awards, along with wildlife expert Humble.

The cost for the eight-night trip is £11,425 (approximately $13,900) per person when sharing a room. Please be cautious when enjoying the open safari vehicles as bursting into laughter and distracting the wildebeest migration is highly discouraged.
