Hilarie Burton Morgan sees Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce's love story as a timeless one. The former One Tree Hill actress became captivated by their developing romance in September 2023 when Swift made an appearance to cheer on Kelce at his Kansas City Chiefs game against the Chicago Bears. Since then, Burton Morgan has closely followed their relationship's progression and has found similarities between Swelce and her character Peyton Sawyer's relationship with Lucas Scott (portrayed by Chad Michael Murray) on One Tree Hill, as well as her own marriage to Jeffrey Dean Morgan.
After Burton Morgan tweeted in November 2023 that Kelce's support of Swift on her Eras Tour's international leg resembled "big [Jeffrey Dean Morgan] energy," Kelce traveled to Argentina to attend the concert. Morgan then took to social media to express his admiration for his wife and share his personal thoughts on the couple.
"I truly appreciate my wife's commitment to our relationship!" he jokingly remarked on X (formerly Twitter). "And regarding Taylor and Travis? It's great to see them happy together. I understand the euphoria they're experiencing right now... I've been in that same blissful state for 15 years, and it's truly wonderful."

Swelce Has Her Attention
Right from the beginning, Burton Morgan was captivated by the romance between Swift and Kelce. In September 2023, when the pop star made an appearance at her first Chiefs game, Burton expressed their deep involvement by sharing a video of Swift's celebratory moment after Kelce scored a touchdown against the Chicago Bears, accompanied by the words, "I am painfully invested in this," through X.
Always on Her Mind
On that particular day, Burton Morgan shared a retweet of a post which said, "Whenever someone inquires if I'm pondering about Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift once more," accompanied by the well-known Kevin James shrugging meme and her own shrugging emoji.
King (and Queen) of Her Heart
"Here's a pro tip: you deserve someone who values your presence and actively invites you to collaborate. This action demonstrates two important things: 1. They genuinely believe in your awesomeness and 2. They want to introduce you to everyone in their professional network, from colleagues to superiors," tweeted Burton Morgan in response to Swift's debut appearance at the Chiefs game. The tweet refers to Kelce's invitation for the Grammy winner to witness his captivating performance at Arrowhead Stadium.
She added, “2. They work hard & they’re GOOD, & they want you to see that. Flew to see JDM on a set 14 yrs ago. #kelceswift.”

Swelce: The New Leyton?
Burton Morgan pointed out a few similarities between Swift and Kelce’s relationship and her own onscreen romance with Murray on One Tree Hill.
Swift’s Art Matters
When a fan shared a photo of Swift and Kelce leaving the Chiefs vs. Bears game in a convertible, with the caption "Looks like the Comet," Burton Morgan couldn't resist quoting one of the memorable lines from the show.
"Is he possibly saying, 'Your art matters... it's what brought me here'?" she amusingly remarked, alluding to a significant conversation between Lucas and Peyton.
Bringing in the Whole Family
Burton Morgan recalled getting hyped with son Gus for Kelce’s game against the New York Jets in October 2023, which Swift was set to attend.
"Earlier, my son and I went to the supermarket and returned to the meat aisle, where there were football displays," she shared via X. "In a loud voice, my son asked if we were going to 'watch the Taylor Swift football game this weekend.' I replied, 'I'm so excited for the T. Swift game!'"

Finding Their Lover
Kelce's visit to Argentina in November 2023 to show his support for Swift during her Eras Tour concert had a profound impact. In fact, Swift went as far as altering the lyrics of her song "Karma" to mention Kelce. This prompted Burton Morgan to foresee the couple reaching the next significant stage in their relationship before long. "They'll have an incredibly cozy Christmas, filled with flannel, pies, and red ribbons... and I bet they'll be engaged by May," she expressed through X.
When a fan pointed out that the romance must be genuine because Swift has never shown such affection for anyone else, Burton Morgan responded by saying that other guys have always made her feel like she needs to downplay her own accomplishments. She further mentioned that this man, whom she described as a strong and supportive figure, would cheer her on during concerts, hold up signs, sing along, and even passionately kiss her in front of fans after the show. She compared their love to the love she once shared with Morgan.
“Just saying … strong @JDMorgan energy. Get a man who lights up when you win,” she said.
