Scaredy cats beware — Heidi Klum is bringing the spook with her Halloween costume this year.
On Thursday, October 5, Klum, who is 50 years old, shared a preview on social media of her terrifying 2023 Halloween look. She revealed a spooky movie poster that was inspired by her own face. In the caption of her Instagram clip, she mentioned that the artwork was done by @mad.charcoal and included the hashtags #heidihalloween2023 and #comingsoon. The video showed artist Josh Hernandez creating a haunting image with orange chalk while eerie music played in the background.
“Heidi Klum Halloween Coming Soon,” the poster reads.
While Klum has yet to announce exactly what the costume will be, she revealed earlier this month that it will be “really extra.”
"I've been losing sleep over it, you know me," she confided to the Daily Mail. "I must confess, I adore it. And something in my gut tells me it's going to be exceptional."
Throughout the years, Klum has gained recognition for her memorable Halloween costumes, which, although not always scary, have become iconic. During her customary All Hallows Eve celebration in New York City in October 2022, the model astonished attendees by dressing as a worm, while her husband, Tom Kaulitz, made a chilling appearance as a bloodied fisherman.

"After attending the star-studded soirée, I am thrilled to be able to celebrate #HeidiHalloween2022 in the vibrant city of New York," she shared on Instagram. "I would like to express my gratitude to the exceptional @prorenfx team for yet another remarkable year. Working with you has been an absolute pleasure, and you truly are the best. ️️️️."
Prior to the party, Klum, a mother of four and ex-wife of Seal, revealed that she had been working on her costume for a while. She mentioned that she only had one look planned, which made her feel claustrophobic, but she believed it would be her best creation yet. She estimated that it would take approximately 14 hours to complete the ensemble.
This slimy spectacle marked Klum’s first public Halloween appearance since the COVID-19 pandemic began, but that hasn't deterred her from putting together impressive outfits. In 2021, she shared a short film showcasing her spooky season ensemble.
"HERE IT IS: Typically, I would host my annual Halloween party on Sunday night. However, this year, things are still a bit different. Consequently, my family and I would like to be the first to extend our wishes for a safe and eerie Halloween weekend. #HeidiHalloween2021," the host of America's Got Talent wrote on Instagram, accompanied by a video showcasing her resurrection after being possessed by her "demonically possessed" children.
Klum has consistently crafted unforgettable costumes, whether it involved transforming into a zombie or donning a worm suit. She hopes that her party attendees will emulate her in creating equally memorable costumes.
"I always hoped that by wearing crazy, elaborate outfits as the host, my guests would follow suit. And it has worked, as people have become increasingly more outrageous with their costumes over the years," she told The Hollywood Reporter in 2018. "The party has gained almost legendary status. It's truly epic. I believe that my passion for Halloween has inspired others to fall in love with the holiday as well."
After the first event in 2000, Klum revealed that she enforced a "no costume-no entry" policy because many guests didn't dress up. "We quickly made it clear that if you come without a costume, you won't be allowed in," she explained. "The costumes have only gotten bigger and better each year. This is because guests know they have to step it up to gain admission."
