Halle Bailey has an important message for her fans.
Bailey, 23, expressed her gratitude for her genuine supporters who show respect for women's bodies and spread love. On Wednesday, December 6, she shared on her Instagram Story, "Being scrutinized is tough, but to those who consistently show unwavering love, I am thankful for you." Despite facing some negativity with her rising stardom, the actress emphasized that she feels incredibly blessed and grateful.
There were rumors that Bailey was confirming speculation about her pregnancy with boyfriend DDG. Last month, she had responded to claims of having a "pregnancy nose." Bailey took to her Snapchat Story on November 18 to address the issue, stating, "If I see one more person mention my nose, there will be consequences. And you know why? Because I am proud of being black and I love my nose."
She responded, "Why are you so concerned about my nose? Just leave me alone!"
For months, fans have been speculating that Bailey has been hiding a baby bump while posing in flowing outfits on different red carpets.
The rumors about Bailey peaked when she appeared at the 2023 MTV Video Music Awards in September wearing a long, flowing dress. Just days before the event, Bailey revealed exclusively to We that she was ready to make a change to her fashion style and move away from the princessy looks, following her role as Ariel in the live-action Little Mermaid, which premiered in May.
Bailey has been open about dealing with critics, particularly when it comes to her appearance. In a September interview with Cosmopolitan, she talked about how her fashion sense has changed as she has gotten older.
Bailey reflected, "Looking at my past red carpet photos always makes me laugh. With age and changes in my body, I'm discovering my true self. I want to exude confidence, feel amazing, and wear clothing that celebrates this stage of my life."

Bailey also credited her older sister, Chloe Bailey, when discussing her “deeper and bigger” confidence.
“She’s always been an extroverted, sexy, demanding kind of presence,” she gushed of her sibling. “She’s helping me find my footing in this whole adult-woman world.”
