Gypsy Rose Blanchard has taken legal action by filing a restraining order against her estranged husband, Ryan Scott Anderson. The order was filed by Blanchard's attorneys in the 17th Judicial District Court in the Parish of Lafourche, Louisiana, as reported by People who obtained the court documents.
A few days after We confirmed on Monday, April 8, that Blanchard, 32, filed for divorce from the special education teacher, 37, after two years of marriage, news of the former couple's split came in March. Blanchard shared a statement via her private Facebook account, per People.
"Recently, people have been curious about what's been happening in my life. Unfortunately, my husband and I are currently going through a separation. I have moved back to my parents' home down the bayou," she shared. "Thankfully, I have the love and support of my family and friends to help me navigate through this challenging time. I am taking this opportunity to listen to my heart and discover more about myself."
After announcing her separation, Blanchard has been seen in Louisiana with her former fiancé, Ken Urker. The couple, who became engaged in 2018 but broke up the following year, recently decided to get matching tattoos together.
A few days after Blanchard announced the breakup, Anderson opened up about how he was feeling. "I'm really struggling with it," he told the Daily Mail on Friday, April 6. "It was a total shock to me."

Anderson was surprised to learn that his estranged wife still had strong feelings for Urker. He admitted this to the outlet.
Blanchard and Anderson initially connected in 2020 when he sent her a letter while she was in prison.
Gypsy was imprisoned for planning to kill her mother, Dee Dee Blanchard, in 2015, along with her boyfriend at the time, Nicholas Godejohn. She admitted guilt to second-degree murder and received a 10-year prison sentence. In September 2023, Gypsy was approved for parole and was eventually set free in December after serving seven years.
During her time behind bars, Gypsy gained widespread attention in pop culture as her life story was featured in documentaries and TV shows like The Act, where she was portrayed by actress Joey King.
Anderson and Gypsy got married in jail in July 2022. Gypsy expressed her desire to have another celebration once she was released.
“We want to have a reception or redo our wedding with our family and friends, complete with a dress, cake, and everything because we deserve it. I deserve it. He deserves it,” she told People. “Our prison wedding was a meaningful moment where we exchanged vows. The party we plan to throw is more for everyone else, but also for us.”
