"Grand Theft Auto VI," the highly anticipated and violent game franchise, released its trailer online after a leak. The sixth chapter is scheduled to be released in 2025, according to developer Rockstar Games. The trailer quickly gained over 13 million views on Youtube within hours of its release, indicating its overwhelming popularity.

The trailer for GTA 6 was scheduled to be released on Tuesday, December 5 at 9 am PST, but Rockstar Games announced on X that the trailer had been leaked and urged fans to watch the official version on YouTube. The highly anticipated next chapter in the action-adventure franchise has been long awaited, especially since GTA 5 was released in 2013.

The trailer showcases Lucia, a female protagonist, as she embarks on a crime spree with her partner, navigating crowded beaches, city highways, and clubs in a Bonnie-and-Clyde style scenario.

Take-Two Interactive, the owner of Rockstar Games, has faced challenges with leaks. In 2022, hackers released unreleased footage from the upcoming GTA game. The gaming community was shocked by the appearance of screenshots and game-play videos online, which the company confirmed were genuine and had been leaked due to a "network intrusion."

Rockstar Games announced a network intrusion where an unauthorized third party accessed and downloaded confidential information from their systems, including early development footage for the next Grand Theft Auto, in a statement posted on Twitter.
