GTA 6 Trailer Officially Confirmed for December Release by Rockstar

Rockstar Games has officially confirmed that the first look at Grand Theft Auto 6 will be revealed next month. Sam Houser, the developer, posted a message on the Rockstar website stating that the trailer for the "next Grand Theft Auto" will be released in early December. This date coincides with the 25th anniversary of the Grand Theft Auto series. Houser expressed excitement about sharing this experience and the future years with players.

The most recent addition to the GTA series, Grand Theft Auto V, was released in 2013 for the PS3 and Xbox 360 consoles. Since then, the game has maintained its presence on the charts, thanks to upgraded versions on new console generations and the immense success of GTA Online as a live-service addition. In the past decade, Rockstar Games has also introduced Red Dead Redemption 2, a remastered edition of Red Dead Redemption, and Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy - The Definitive Edition.

GTA 6's potential release date was hinted at by Strauss Zelnick, CEO of Take-Two, the parent company of Rockstar. He suggested that a late 2024 or early 2025 launch is possible. During an earnings call in August 2023, Zelnick referred to the fiscal year 2025 (April 2024 to March 2025) as a crucial turning point for the company.
