Recently, actor Ned Luke, known for his role as Michael in GTA V, appeared on Larry Lawton's YouTube show. The interview got off to an exciting start as Lawton introduced Luke as "Michael from Grand Theft Auto V and Grand Theft Auto VI." Luke's shocked reaction drew attention as he attempted to clarify that he is not involved in GTA VI and the game is still in unknown territory.
Luke continued, asserting that Lawton, a reformed jewel thief turned motivational speaker who had served time in prison, "had a senior moment."
Further into the interview, Luke delved into his potential participation in GTA VI, suggesting that it could be a possibility. "It's uncertain whether I'm even involved, or not. Typically, the protagonists are not reused," he admitted. "I'm still bound by the non-disclosure agreement. Even if I knew anything, I wouldn't be able to share. It's strictly confidential."
In GTA V, Luke portrayed Michael De Santa, one of the three playable protagonists alongside Trevor, portrayed by Steven Ogg, and Franklin, played by Shawn Fonteno. It would be intriguing if any of these characters appeared in GTA VI, considering the multiple endings in GTA V, one of which saw Michael's death and another in which all three survived. Though fans speculate on the canon ending, Rockstar has yet to confirm.
There is a chance that Luke may take on a different role in GTA VI, assuming he is a part of the game. However, this is still uncertain. We will need to wait for Rockstar to release more information about the story of GTA VI. Currently, all we know is that the plot revolves around a character named Lucia and another individual, potentially in a romantic relationship with Lucia. Both characters appear to enjoy stealing from others, which aligns with the speculation that GTA VI may center around heists.
GTA VI is set to release in 2025 for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. A PC version may be released later, but this has not been confirmed.
Editor's P/S
As a hard fan of the GTA series, I am thrilled at the prospect of Ned Luke returning as a character in GTA 6. His portrayal of Michael in GTA 5 was nothing short of exceptional, and I believe he brought a unique depth and charisma to the character. The possibility of seeing him reprise his role or take on a new one in GTA 6 is incredibly exciting, and I can't wait to see what Rockstar has in store for us.
However, I also understand the importance of keeping the story and characters of GTA 6 under wraps until the official release. Rockstar has a history of creating immersive and engaging narratives, and I trust that they will deliver another masterpiece with GTA 6. While I eagerly await any news or updates about the game, I am patient enough to let Rockstar take their time and craft the best possible experience for fans. The wait will undoubtedly be worth it when we finally get to step into the world of GTA 6 and embark on a new adventure.
