Grace Van Dien has nothing but praise for her male costars who make her job easier. She specifically mentions Stranger Things costar Joseph Quinn and What Comes Around's Kyle Gallner as examples. Van Dien states that these actors have always been kind and generous, making the scenes easier to perform in. She appreciates that there is no forced chemistry and that acting opposite these individuals is the easiest part of her job.
Van Dien rose to fame after her portrayal of Chrissy in the fourth season of Stranger Things. The popular Netflix series debuted its latest season in July 2022, introducing Chrissy as a cheerleader at Hawkins High School who falls victim to Vecna (played by Jamie Campbell Bower).
However, it was Chrissy's fleeting connection with Eddie (Quinn) that has captured the hearts of fans, who still hold out hope for a reunion between the two on screen. Van Dien herself is open to the idea of returning to Hawkins, Indiana.
"Absolutely, I'd definitely make a comeback," Van Dien playfully responded when asked about revisiting her breakthrough character.
The actress pondered the deep affection viewers hold for Chrissy and Eddie, and contemplated its connection to her other undertakings.

The reason why people develop feelings for characters like Chrissy, despite their limited screen time, is the same as what happens with Anna in the film What Comes Around. These characters are outsiders who find someone who gives them the attention they crave. This resonates with people who have experienced feeling misunderstood or unnoticed by those around them, and who are searching for someone who truly sees them.
What Comes Around had its world premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival in September 2022. The film centers on the complicated relationship between a mother named Beth (played by Summer Phoenix) and her daughter, Anna. When Anna, a high school student, begins chatting with an older man named Eric (played by Gallner) online, Beth is forced to confront her own past in order to help her child.

Van Dien praised Gallner, 36, for his contribution in portraying the intricate connection between Anna and Eric.
“Kyle is a gem. I'm always on the lookout for his upcoming projects. I actually attempted to watch Smile recently because I noticed he was in it, but I only managed to watch the first five minutes before getting too frightened,” she humorously shared. “However, Kyle is incredibly kind. He consistently ensures that everything is going well and our communication is flawless. I'm amazed by how we managed to assemble such an incredible cast.”
Grace Van Dien and Kyle Gallner star in the film 'What Comes Around,' released by IFC Films. Redford, 52, directed the movie, which is based on Scott Organ's screenplay. He also commended Gallner for fostering a positive atmosphere on set despite the weighty subject matter.
"He displays a remarkable dedication to his work, and it was evident that everyone involved shared a common goal of infusing their characters with utmost compassion. This involved delving deep into their roles, conducting personal research, and carrying invisible treasures within themselves. His exceptional awareness of those around him contributes to his ability to be a captivating listener on screen, making him an extraordinary actor.
Grace also shared this quality with him. There were instances where I simply had to step aside and let their talents shine. Moreover, it was thrilling as a director to witness him introducing new elements to the table, pushing boundaries and bringing something fresh that he might not have been permitted to do in the past. It was, undoubtedly, the most exciting thing for any director to experience."
