Get Ready for Battle: Season 4 of Call of Duty Warzone Brings New Maps to Conquer

Get ready for an epic experience in Call of Duty: Warzone 2 Season 4 as Activision unveils plans to introduce a brand new map to the popular battle royale game Brace yourself for new challenges and exciting gameplay that will keep you hooked for hours on end!

As part of the Season 4 update on Wednesday, June 14, Call of Duty: Warzone 2 is set to introduce a new map, Vondel. Since its release last year, Activision has been dedicated to providing robust support for Call of Duty: Warzone 2. Initially featuring only Al Mazrah, the game later added the smaller Ashika Island map. Al Mazrah serves as the game's large-scale map, akin to Verdansk from the original Warzone, while Ashika Island is the equivalent of Rebirth Island. Vondel, touted as a "medium-sized map" by Activision, will bridge the gap between the two.

As part of the Season 4 update on June 14, Call of Duty: Warzone 2's Vondel map will be introduced with Resurgence, DMZ, and Lockdown LTM modes. At launch, Vondel will have 15 points of interest, including a castle, a zoo, a soccer stadium, and more, for players to explore. While more traditional battle royale modes are expected to come later in the season, 72 players can battle it out in the Resurgence game mode on the new map. To uncover all that the Vondel map has to offer, players will have to dive in when it's added to the battle royale next week.

The Vondel map will release without a gulag initially, as traditional battle royale modes will not be available at launch. However, players can look forward to the Season 4 Reloaded update, which will introduce a subterranean gulag in the medieval parts of town. This update could potentially revive interest in Call of Duty: Warzone 2 and attract both old and new players. With a plethora of content expected in the Season 4 update, it remains to be seen how the community will respond. Additionally, the upcoming 2023 Call of Duty game may have an impact on Warzone 2 and its ongoing support for Modern Warfare 2.

Call of Duty: Warzone 2 is out now for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
