George Clooney admires his wife, Amal Clooney, endlessly, but he's adamant about one thing - he doesn't want her cooking for their family.

"I'll tell you what. My wife, [Amal], who is a brilliant lawyer, she's one of the advocates of the world. She takes on Isis," George, 62, shared with ExtraTV in a Tuesday, December 12, interview. "But I better be doing the cooking or we will all die."

George, the in-house chef, explained to the outlet that he is capable of cooking anything, even for special occasions. "I'm planning to cook a Christmas turkey this year," he stated, adding that he had previously made a similar dish for Thanksgiving. "It's hard to find a good turkey, but I managed to find a good one, so we're going to have Christmas turkey."

The couple, George and Amal, first met in 2013 and got married a year later in Venice, Italy. In 2017, it was confirmed that they had welcomed twins, Ella and Alexander. "The family is in good health, happy, and doing well," George's representative confirmed to Us at that time.

Since they expanded their family, managing their parental and marital responsibilities has been manageable for the couple. They have made it a priority to juggle their busy schedules effectively.

"[Amal and I] have had to reevaluate how we live our lives," George stated on a November 2021 episode of the “WTF With Marc Maron” podcast. He acknowledged that the arrival of their children has caused a shift in their approach to their careers. "It doesn't mean we won't work, but we also need to ensure that we spend less time behind a computer or on location so that we can be with our kids."

Lake Como, Italy is one of the locations where the duo often takes their children for the summer to “relax as a family unit” and “really try to do life the European way and take August off from work,” according to a source who exclusively spoke to Us earlier this year.

The children adore having ample time with their parents. They enjoy boat rides, water sports, and playdates with friends their age in the area. Additionally, they have a passion for painting and have easels and supplies set up with a view of the water.

Both George and Amal have openly expressed their love for Italy. However, George humorously mentioned that he didn’t anticipate the challenge of raising his kids in Europe part-time, as they have become fluent in Italian while neither him nor his wife speak the language. He joked about the situation during a December 2020 appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, highlighting how his kids now have a language advantage over their parents.

Amal suggests that Ella and Alexander inherited their witty nature from their father, George. She revealed that their son has taken after George and is now pulling pranks on him, during an interview on CBS Mornings in 2022.

George has a history of engaging in prank wars with his Hollywood colleagues, including his frequent costar Brad Pitt. In a recent interview with ExtraTV, he described Pitt as a "brutal" prankster on set.

"He takes forever to set up his pranks, but when he pulls them off, they really hit hard," he joked. "I mean, they really hurt. There are things they've done that make it impossible for me to go back to my hometown. They play some really dirty, mean tricks."

Alexander seems to be picking up his father's Italian language skills and sense of humor. However, George's celebrity status is still a mystery to the 6-year-old, and his father hopes it stays that way.

The other day, a kid at school told Alexander that I was famous. My son asked, "Papa, what's famous?" I was surprised and asked, "Where did you hear that?" It seems like they have no concept of what I do, which is actually great.
