Matarazzo mentioned that the woman stood by her comment about the age difference. He shared, "She was like, ‘I’m aware of the age difference.’ And then I was like, ‘Alright.’" Surprisingly, her daughter, who was around 13 years old, reacted with shock, saying, ‘Mom, what the f–k?’ according to Matarazzo.

When host Michael Rosenbaum asked if Matarazzo found the situation funny, he admitted that he "couldn’t." Instead, he remembered looking at his mother, who was seated beside him, and commented, "That was rough."

Matarazzo, known for his role on Stranger Things, has acknowledged that while he may sometimes have questionable interactions with fans, he is grateful for the opportunities that the series has brought him.

Being the main financial support for his family at such a young age was something he found unusual.

"We're really thankful. It's also cool to see how our parents were looking out for all of us as a group moving forward," he shared. "They were the ones handling negotiations before we all turned 18."

Matarazzo admitted that he was unsure about the process of getting a pay raise. He mentioned, "Even now, we are still clueless about what all of this means. We are like college juniors who mostly survive on Ramen noodles and Oreos. That part hasn't changed." He added, "We are constantly learning from our parents and their experiences. It's great that they are united and can discuss what would be best for all of us moving forward."
