During the ongoing A Greedy Emissary event in World of Warcraft, a player's attempt to catch a Treasure Goblin turned out to be a misadventure. Despite defeating the event monster, the player was left in an unexpected and comical situation, as captured in a video that has since gone viral. Until June 14, players can participate in the event and hunt for Treasure Goblins every half hour across Azeroth, with the chance of acquiring unique Diablo 4-themed items.
A recent encounter with a Treasure Goblin in World of Warcraft led to an unexpected turn of events for one player. MemeStarKeem, a Redditor and avid WoW fan, shared a video of their hunt that ended with the defeat of the goblin in the Western Earthshrine of Orgrimmar. However, when attempting to loot the corpse, MemeStarKeem accidentally clicked on a portal and found themselves transported to Uldum on a one-way trip across Kalimdor. This prank was not limited to MemeStarKeem, as other players also appeared in Uldum shortly after spawning in, resulting in a mix of shock, surprise, and laughter among the group. Some frantically attempted to return to Orgrimmar to claim their loot while others accepted their defeat with good humor.
MemeStarKeem's World of Warcraft video sparked excitement amongst fellow fans who shared their own experiences of being teleported away from the Diablo 4 Treasure Goblin in a similar fashion. Some suggested using the Loot-a-Rang toy or waiting until the monster is defeated and the area clears out to avoid falling prey to the trick in the future. The community also discussed their luck in acquiring exclusive cosmetics from the event, both good and bad. With a few more weeks left to farm Treasure Goblins for rare drops, World of Warcraft players can look forward to a huge experience and reputation buff from June 15 through July 11 with the Winds of Sanctuary event. Early access to Diablo 4 servers is also now available globally for fans to hunt down Treasure Goblins and score awesome loot in both Azeroth and Sanctuary.
