James Lafferty and Alexandra Park initially met when Lafferty directed an episode of the E! series in which Park was a cast member from 2015 to 2018. This professional collaboration has proven beneficial as they now portray a married couple named Jeremy and Andrea Davis on their new Hulu series, Everyone Is Doing Great, which debuted in 2021.

Lafferty and Park tied the knot in Oahu, Hawaii in May 2022, with their loved ones and friends, including Stephen Colletti, the co-creator of Everyone Is Doing Great and fellow One Tree Hill alum. Among the attendees were Park's former Royals co-stars, Tom Austen and Merritt Patterson.

Reflecting on their first year of marriage, Lafferty shared with Us on Tuesday that it has been an eventful journey as they have been busy working on the second season of EDG. He described it as a "wild ride."

The California native admitted that working together while managing their marital status has been difficult and demanding, but there have been positive aspects as well. He explained that this is the environment where they flourish and grow closer, as they both pursue their passions together.

Outside of their work, the couple prefers to maintain a low-key profile. They cherish date nights spent at the beach with their dog, watching the sunset, and then indulging in their favorite movie or TV show, as shared by Lafferty.

"Everything revolves around our beloved furry companion," he quipped. "As long as she's in proximity, our contentment knows no bounds."

The former star of The Right Stuff shared with Us that his upcoming summer plans will resemble those of the past, as Los Angeles begins to experience sunny weather. "I have no illusions about the inevitable heat here. However, it will be a delightful experience to visit the beach," Lafferty elaborated. "My wife and I thoroughly enjoy taking our cherished dog, Billie, to the shoreline and witnessing her exuberantly play in the crashing waves."

The director is thrilled to include Smirnoff ICE in his beach essentials this year, collaborating with the brand for its Smirnoff ICE Relaunch Tour. As part of the concert event in Los Angeles on Thursday, June 22, he expresses his excitement for the presence of Steve Aoki and Elena Rose. Reflecting on his personal anticipation, he shares that it has been a while since he last enjoyed a Smirnoff Ice. With its return in full force for the summer season, he believes it is the perfect time to indulge in something cool and refreshing, aligning with his personal preferences.
