Episode 6 of Frieren Beyond Journey's End, adapted chapters 11 and 12 from the manga. The episode primarily delved into Stark's internal struggles and his prospects as a warrior. The major highlight of this episode revolved around Stark's intense battle with the Solar Dragon. While the manga portrayed this fight as brief, the anime added an entirely original and extended encounter between Stark and the Dragon.

Upon Stark's integration into Frieren's group, the comrades reach Waal Fortress City but are denied entry into the perilous northern territories due to the abundance of menacing creatures. Consequently, both Fern and Stark embark on an expedition within the city to acquire valuable intel and navigate through to the dangerous northern lands.

The conclusion of the episode saw Frieren being apologized to by both the guard captain and the Castellan of the town for their previous rude behavior towards her. Subsequently, Frieren and her party were granted permission to enter the northern lands.
