The 15th episode began with the Elven Mage and her party reaching a village where they discovered that all the villagers were fast asleep. After a thorough examination, Sein concluded that it was the result of a curse.
Since only those blessed with the Magic of the Goddess could cleanse curses, Sein made it his mission to uncover the true source of the curse. While Fern, Stark, and Frieren were all affected and fell into a deep slumber, the priest remained unharmed thanks to the "Blessing of the Goddess."

Sein then discovered the Chaos Monster, the source of the curse. Despite the Priest's attempt to face the monster alone, its Reflective Petals posed a challenge. With no other option, he used a spell to briefly awaken Frieren, who struck the monster's core and defeated it. With the villagers saved, the party continued on to the Fortress of the Vorig, where they encountered the head of the Orden Family.
The veteran man implored Stark to fulfill a special task, offering rewards as an incentive. He recounted the tale of his son, whose visage bore a striking resemblance to Stark's own, and had perished as a hero battling a demon.
He chose to keep his son's death a secret from his men in order to protect their morale. With a social gathering approaching, he asked Stark to disguise himself as his late son to maintain appearances. The Elven Mage and Stark agreed to the request and followed through. The episode concluded with Frieren struggling to choose a Grimoire as her gift from the Orden Family's library.
