Frieren Anime Episode 14: Sein's Resolution, Reminiscing on Himmel's Precious Gift

Episode 14 of the anime Frieren, titled "Privilege of the Young," opened with Stark leaving the inn in tears after an argument with Fern. Sein asked the elven mage what had happened, and she explained that it was Fern's birthday and Stark hadn't given her a gift, leading to her outburst.

Frieren noted that Fern hadn't tried to listen to Stark's side and had instead lashed out at him. As the elder of the group, Sein empathized with Stark and understood how much Fern's words may have hurt him.

Sein believes that, while an adult can withstand a maiden's cold shoulder, a boy like Stark may be more affected by such behavior. After listening to the priest's words in episode 14 of the Frieren anime, Fern regretted her actions.

After leaving the inn, Sein and the elven mage advised her apprentice to go after Stark. As she stood outside, Fern observed Sein purchasing a gift for her. The choice of gift from the priest surprised her and gave her the creeps. In that moment, Sein inquired of Fern whether she had found Stark.

In episode 14 of the anime Frieren, it was revealed that the young mage found Stark but was unable to communicate with him. The priest, being older, empathized with Fern's situation and noticed her struggles with boys her age. He decided to offer her some advice. After a conversation with Sein, Frieren gained the courage to reconcile with Stark. Once the priest left for the inn, she set out to find the warrior. In this episode, Frieren witnessed Fern and Stark apologizing to each other.

The crimson-haired fighter decided to purchase a present for Fern, as he was unsure of her preferences. So, they reconciled and set out to find the perfect gift together. Frieren and Sein watched from a distance, and the elven mage praised Sein for bringing the pair back together.

Frieren loses Himmel's ring as a bird monster attacks their wagon

In the second part of episode 14 of Frieren anime, the elven mage and her party continued their journey and encountered a merchant at Bande Woods who offered them a ride in his wagon. During their conversation, Frieren noticed Fern's bracelet and remarked that she also had a ring with a similar design, given to her by Himmel. As she took the ring out of her bag, a bird monster suddenly appeared and lifted the wagon.

Subsequently, Frieren accidentally loses her ring, leading to a dangerous predicament for the entire group. Fortunately, the elven mage devises a plan to escape and rescue everyone. Nevertheless, the wagon sustains significant damage and requires immediate repair.

Sein restored everyone to health, even the injured horse. In episode 14 of the Frieren anime, the priest noticed a lotus design on Fern's bracelet and explained that it symbolized everlasting love.

In essence, it was a gift for a loved one. As expected, Stark was completely unaware of it. Eventually, the group had to wait for the wagon to be fixed. During the wait, Fern discovered that Frieren had been slipping away every night. The elven mage then admitted to losing the ring that Himmel had given her. It was later revealed that the ring had the same mirrored lotus design as Fern's bracelet.
