Some players anticipated that with the conclusion of Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 4, either Season 5 would commence or a completely new map would emerge, paving the way for Chapter 5. However, instead of a new map, the old map was reintroduced—the OG Battle Royale map.
Until December 2, gamers have the opportunity to relish Fortnite on the original map as part of the OG Season. During this season, certain map locations will be altered periodically; each week, the Battle Royale island will transition to a new stage, adapting to a different Chapter 1 season.
How the OG Season Map Works
The beginning of Fortnite OG brought back the map from Chapter 1 Season 5. While certain locations like Moisty Mire and Dusty Depot won't be accessible, players can still explore most of the original areas. Every week, Epic Games will release a patch to advance the map in time, giving players the chance to experience each Fortnite season with its corresponding locations. This also means that the points of interest (POIs) that weren't accessible at the end of Chapter 1 will eventually become unavailable.
POI Rotation Schedule Predictions
Throughout Chapter 1 of Fortnite OG, the map underwent multiple changes. As the game progresses, these modifications will continue to impact the map. Editor's P/S
As a Gen Z fan, I am thrilled about the revival of classic locations in Fortnite. The OG Season Map brings back fond memories of the early days of the game, when I first started playing. I can't wait to explore the old map again and see how it has changed over time. I'm also excited to see how the map will evolve over the course of the season, as new locations are added and old ones are removed.
I think this is a great way to celebrate the history of Fortnite and to give new players a chance to experience the game the way it used to be. I'm sure that this season will be a lot of fun for everyone, and I can't wait to see what Epic Games has in store for us next.
